I love it when two people can breakup and still be friends/good to each other afterwards. Some folks call that a red flag, I can see where they’re coming from, but not everyone is “like that” and just wants a positive dynamic with their ex. Yes just because you break up doesn’t mean you don’t have to love/care about their existence anymore. I have 1 ex and although we didn’t talk, he needed help physically a few years ago and me and my boyfriend went to help him. It made me love my boyfriend so much more because he did all the helping and didn’t complain or feel insecure. We’ve never seen my ex since and never talked about it.
