My hair loves Melanin hair care products. It’s a great black owned brand. Every product doesn’t work for everyone.

I love her products too, her shampoo is my favorite clarifying shampoo when i go longer than a week between washes. The deep conditioner i use every other wash or so.

I am so glad to hear it worked for you and others. You are so right. Everything does not work for everybody. I wish they had a moisturizing shampoo as my experience might have been different. At least I am able to use Qhemet Biologics products though. 😇

You know all African black soaps strips all oils out of everything Hair and skin really dries everything out and you have reapply liberally all the oils back, it’s a great medicinal soap for skin flare ups and acne prone skin but as far as her leave in conditioner and twisting cream they are fantastic The black shampoo made my hair hard and dry as well and the conditioner to leave on for 30 minutes I wasn’t a big fan of but overall all I love her other products!!

After a horrible Covid shed my hair couldn’t tolerate Melanin. My dermatologist who was treating me suggested Bosley products and they worked great. My new growth is to my shoulders but my old hair is to my waist. I have type 3 hair. I’m hoping to start Melanin again after I cut my hair! And I will try the aloe!
@Corporate_CarolynАй бұрын
Oh wow, everything is not for everybody. So glad I had my aloe treatment handy to help my hair recover from the dryness. I was living ghetto fabulous until I put that African soap product on my hair. 🙄🤦🏾♀️ Anyway, I think it has recovered now and it looked, soft and supple the last time I had it out. Anyway, so glad your dermatologist found a plan to help you restore what was lost. What type of Bosley product did you try for anyone out there that might want to give it a shot? Thanks, and God bless! 🙏🏾❤️

Unfortunately, I never heard it. Rinsing that shampoo out of my hair was the scariest experience I have had since I had a BKT back in 2010 or so. My hair felt so dry just touching my skin, I thought it would break off. After a few aloe treatments, it feels like normal. That aloe thing has been a miracle for me. I am thinking I may do it again tomorrow and let it ride for a few weeks. 😂

This is the first video of yours that I've watched, but I wanted to comment that my hair also retangles immediately after combing through BUT I found that it's usually because it's time for me to clip the ends a teeny bit! Hope it helps! Your hair is beautiful!

Oh, before I floss my teeth, I was laughing because when I used to go to salons, the remedy to anything you complained about was always you need a good trim. Then you get one, and the same problem would exist, and then the next course of action would be to sell you a new shampoo and conditioner. Then, it was you need to deep condition. Then after deep conditioning, the $200 brush would help on wet hair. 🤦🏾♀️ Next, I would try a new stylist, and the cycle would begin again. Now I do my own hair. It has been very frustrating, but I have finally gotten to the point where it is what it is. I just give it the TLC that it needs, and aloe has helped immensely. 🤷🏾♀️😆

When my hair had those symptoms like retangling after detangling and feeling like cotton and getting really dry and taking a long time to soak up moisture it was because I had protein overload. I did a hair cleanse with a bentonite clay and acv hair mask. COMPLETELY overturned it and you don't have to use a clarifying shampoo. All it really does anyway is cleanse your scalp. The clay will literally exfoliate your entire strand. You don't actually have to have protein overload to use this method but it sounds like you definitely need a hair detox.

I love Melanin, but it's so hard to get. I haven't tried the African soap, but I love the twisting cream, leave in, and oil. Unfortunately the Mielle leave in (pomegranate and honey) broke off my crown, so I had to stop using it.

Wow, I am so sorry to hear that! I wonder what could cause that kind of reaction? I have that very product in my bathroom, and I have used it a few times this year. Fortunately, I don't wash that frequently. That is some scary stuff. 😅 I have to admit, I was terrified while I washing the Melanin shampoo out. My hair never felt that dry in my entire life. It was scary.

I try and stay away from all products with heavy butters and oils. And avoiding African black soap for my hair at all cost. I jumped on the coconut train and my hair dried out so bad I thought I was going to have to do another big chop.

It's the black soap . that stuff will really get your hair squeaky clean!!!!¡: it's the best clarifying shampoo.. so only when you need that level of cleaning But the deep conditioner is very moisturizing. Or just . Use the deep conditioner instead
@Corporate_Carolyn11 күн бұрын
Hey there, and thanks for clarifying, get it? 😂 Anyway, my dry hair NEVER needs that level of cleaning. 😅 Someone asked if I would give the products to them, and I agreed. So I am done. After so many bad experiences, I rarely give offending items a second chance, especially when they are expensive. Continued success to you though!

@Corporate_Carolyn Thank you so much. I am 64, and my hair is thinning. I am trying many things to stop the thinning, and I was diagnosed with Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia. I have two bald spots, but I am seeing great results from my hair, Regimen. The dermatologist told me that because of my age, it is possible my hair would not recover, but I have not given up. God has the last say 🙏. I pray and talk to God about my hair and scalp being healed from the Alopecia. God will get the glory. 🙌

Too funny, my fans have been my best friends during menopause, but you would barely hear my little voice over it! 😂 Anyway, the aloe by itself does not leave my hair feeling moisturized, which is why I have to put that Aethiopika hair butter and the oil on top of it to coat and seal it. It feels wonderful after that, and then my routine of moisturizing after I work out five days a week leaves it feeling wonderful (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qn6ZZYxomLeJiLcsi=1YzaKTvEdQTPYwQ4). That is why the experience with the reviving shampoo caught me off guard. I’ve never experienced this with my normal routine. Never again though! 😆 At least I tried it! All the best to you as well!
