I met a girl in 2008 in Capetown and we hit it off and became best of friends. We really had a beautiful relationship that we shared a lot. So when i got pregnant she was the first person I shared with and asked her to keep to herself until I was ready to share with my family. She failed to do that and it really hurt me. We exchanged bad words and broke our friendship. Four years later I reached out to her and we hit it off without hesitation. We really cried when we met. Fast forward she died in 2017 and i happened to be the last person she had spoken to that day. I am glad that we reconciled before she died.

In 2020 I had to terminate a 20 years relationship i was so low and down but I had too.Right now am.okay after offering her a job at my company she stabbed me I decided not to suck her but to terminate our relationship and deal with her like any other staff. She used to do her work so well but I could not stand her behaviour anymore.

My best friend of 10 years also passed away 7 years ago and I swear it still feels like yesterday. I was the last person she spoke to that night and got buried on my birthday 💔 A part of me is never coming back and I have to learn to live with that. I had a friend from high school but as we grew post-university - we became very toxic to each other. In the end, we drifted apart. After 5 years plus, she reached out and said she missed me and would like us to meet. I told her my regrets in how badly i had behaved towards her as a friend. And i profusely apologised to her. But instead of her apologizing as well - she began to remind me of how badly i had treated her. She never once mentioned how badly she had treated me... i decided there and then not to rekindle the friendship. Because i realized that in all those years apart, she had had no reflection of her past behaviour, and that also meant she had not really grown and changed as a person

A friendship breakup is one of the worst feelings ever. I had a bad breakup with my high school best friend and looking back, it wasn't even something worth breaking up for so looong. That's what happened to me...she left me for people that were doing better than me in a number of aspects...I tried to get us to meet and talk over a snack but it never helped. It left me broken...to today I tear up thinking about it. But then I also know that it was a way of God separating me for a greater cause, which I pursued and would never have had we stayed close friends...that doesn't take away the fact that it did hurt anyway. Her Wedding was supposed to be July 2020 while mine was in September 5th of that same year .They couldn’t find a wedding venue for the date that they wanted especially since it was done last minute. So they had to choose a different date. Instead of choosing a date that would work for both of us. She ending up choosing august 27th. While being a good friend I spoke to my husband and my family and we pushed my wedding to September 12 that way I would be able to attend her wedding and also give her time to come to mine. Keep in mind that we live in different states . I did all that only for her not to even come to my wedding. Let’s just say it made me realize that I was the giver in the relationship

I had a best friend back in high school who I loved dearly. We always shared our dreams, told our secrets to each other we even knew what the other was thinking. She was the best friend I ever had. Senior year everything changed. She stopped speaking to me, stopped calling me, stopped hanging out with me etc. I was hurt and tried asking her what’s going on but she refused to speak with me. After graduation, I never saw her again until our 30th high school reunion last year. She reached out and apologized and wanted things to be the way they were. I accepted her apology but told her that we are better off continuing to go our separate ways. It still effects me and I know it definitely affects her.

@@iamenabled9372 forgiveness doesn’t mean that you allow certain people back into your life. Too much time has passed that I’m not interested in forming a bond with her. I didn’t say why she stopped speaking to me but I do know that communication is key and I want friends who can communicate with me and have a conversation about what went wrong and she refused to do that at the time. Another thing I didn’t mention was that she wasn’t loyal. She ended up being close to a girl who was envious of me and the friendship ended really bad. By the time she found out what type of person she was it was too late to save our friendship. I’m in a better place and have better friends who values friendship so I’m good. I wish her well.

I lost my almost 20 year old friendship with my friend who got swallowed up in Alcoholism and got depressed after closing down her businesses due to Covid 19. I tried all I could but nothing worked. Hi Lynn The reconciliation with your best friend reminded me of my best friend who we've never talked in 4years till date though we didn't throw hurtful words to each other, it only went silent for whatever had happened. I too got your bad behavior lynn of deleting, terminating and blocking peoples number and memories when i feel they wronged me 😊 hopeful I'll change for the better just like you... Unfortunately while watching the episode till end it happened that i remember my best friend's number after forgetting it for such a long time. Today Lynn you ministered to my heart through your conversation with you best friend. Am so happy for you two. Thanks for reconciling. I also broke with a friend whom I still value. I felt betrayed and one day just blocked them and never said a word. They much later learnt I had blocked everywhere. Its been a while now. Recently, I unblocked on sms and calls and some old messages they wrote a while back came in with one message saying,..... "are you okay? please lets talk when you are available". My heart sunk and I felt so guilty but then I didn't know what we would talk about. I am like you lynn, I give my all to a friendship/relationship (completely all) and when i feel disappointed, I can easily walk away. I have actually walked away of friendships that no one would think I could but the most unfortunate thing is, once I walk away, I hardly feel the need to go back reason being, I gave it my all but I pray just like you, my heart may soften and give space to allowing back coz in my case, anyone I ever interacted with considering that I gave my best will at some point fight to reconcile but I find it hard to let back.

This video speaks to me. I lost a friendship after a silly argument, I can't even remember what it was about or who did what. 3 Years down the line I still grieve from time to time. I have never had the courage to reach out, and as Zawadi has said, I keep wondering 'what if'... - If our paths never cross again in life, I do hope I can at least have 100% peace.

Nice to see two women addressing issues. I once had a friend who treated me so bad for no reason. When she betrayed me first time, I forgave, then she did it again and this time it was so bad. This person decided to attack my character by talking really ill of me to people I know. I learnt a lot after the betrayal, I forgave her but I can never allow her back my life again. I'm doing so much better and I have a brilliant circle of friends now. I've also realised that she is a very mentally unhealthy person and lacks intellect.They say iron sharpens Iron. Surround yourself with people who build you not try to drag you down.
