Steve,you are always, right on subject. The one fact, you omitted, was, KVD, big fish in heavy hitters. Goes out, with a 100,000 ,but in style. A home for sure.

Hey Steve. MLF had a rough start but got their feet under themselves as the season progressed. They changed things as they seemed to do. It's only 6 years, and they are trying to do what took Bassmaster 50 + years in a short time line. One thing I would like to see is a payout for being first in the Qualifying round and the Knockout Round, something in the amount of $1500 to $2000 to keep the pressure on and cover some of there experiences even though they may not win the Championship Round. I think streamlining the derby will pay off in the long term. I have not checked the viewership numbers, but it has been an excellent season with good on the water excitement. Tight lines. I think it was good year. I think the changes they made were good and are going to get better. Next year they will not have a group A and B and they will cut two days out of the competition. The team series this year is being streamed live and the new format is really cool. The good thing about the BPT is they can go to smaller lakes and it is cool to see them fish those lakes. I think all the tours next year will make some sort of changes with FFS but I don't think any of them will outright ban it. One thing they should all take notes on is the team series tournament they just had. If we learned anything from that tournament it was not having practice handicaps FFS big time. 2025 will be a very interesting year.

I thought drew gill pulled out as well? I remember a video he made saying he pulled out of the mlf AAA league (can’t remember what it’s called) to create space for another angler bc someone did that for him.

MLF is really trying to increase exposure and payouts for anglers. The team series is terrific and cutting the field is a great move. Without the Fox money BASS would have a problem. I think MLF is on the up swing despite all the controversy and questionable mgmt.

Feel good story of the year - Skeet winning. Feel bad story of the year - Birge being unfairly disqualified. Best thing about BPT - format. Worst thing about BPT - horrible MFL website.

KVD was not THAT Kevin on MLF. While he won one event, his best time was his final showing on MLF. Wish we had more of that. Jordon started out hot with MLF...then he became middle of the road. Watson wasn't going to make the cut anyway...while he is entertaining if he is on camera, he was not good enough to have a steady camera in the boat. The biggest story is JW becoming the Roland Martin of MLF. Does that make DC the Rick Clunn of MLF with two Redcrests? A continuing story is yet more changes on MLF....I could see where that would be frustrating. Duckett/Klein listen to the anglers too much

Totally disagree that the Watson story was the biggest story of the MLF season.. for me the biggest story was Wheeler winning his 3 AOY.. no one in the sport is even close to being as dominant as he is...along with the changes that were so hated by so many are actually going to make MLF better.. and the fact that so many thought MLF was a skinning ship are now going to be proven wrong... Is MLF perfect absolutely not but as we've seen neither is Bassmaster

MLF had Watson and let him go. Next year will be the same cover up the cheating and keep everyone quiet. No talking about Duckett. This league sucks
