I'm think he doing well for himself but here my understand from F. Gary Gray the reason why he probably didn't do much hood movies because he want directed big movies but also level up not just stuck in genre and not be doing the same thing the only 2 good hood movies he directed we know was Friday & this film so that why he didn't do much hood movies nowadays .
