This edition revisits a 1985 film which followed two opposing politicians - Republican Martin McGuinness, who was a member of Sinn Féin and Unionist Gregory Campbell, who also provoked controversy with his hardline views. Over 20 years later, we find out how much McGuinness and Campbell have changed as they've moved from the edge to the centre of government.

I read about this documentary in the book on McGuinness "From guns to government". Very interesting, notice how the loyalist is the one loading the gun.

@@dmfub2348 I don't remember saying that McGuiness (not Martin) ever denied being in the IRA. And I was in the security forces in Londonderry (not Derry) for about 3 years. However, being older and wiser, I do understand better why the Troubles started. And I hope we are all older and wiser to stop the needless killing and suffering, however, there will always be bigots on both sides who cannot be reasoned with.

Yet still Campbell came out looking the thug,only himself to blame. If he let his anger, hatred and bitterness subside for the making of the documentary he’d have handed Loyalism a massive coup but he wasn’t armed with even rudimentary common sense. He must recoil with shame and embarrassment an what a monumental balls up he made of this.

As I said in the first video, the submachine gun is a Belgian Vigneron with its barrel installed upside down, a flaw in that particular design. The thing hanging on the barrel is the front sight, and you can see smoke coming out of the compensator going downward that is supposed to go upward to limit barrel climb.
