Such a pity that most people do not know their masterpieces like for a million, lassie come home, dance with me, jerusalem or jet set. Alphaville is really a gem. Even modern hits like things we got to do are too good.

My first ever pop music experience as 13, was their first album. My cousin bought the Album in 1984, and during my summer vacation nearby their home we met and he played that always. The lyrics was printed on the back side of the Album, so I folowed each texts until I learned the whole album, with all the 10 songs! My first meeting with the english language was this. Over the iron curtain, in Hungary, the schools not teached english, but russian. The Alphaville fist album with it's music built deeply into my soul, my language development and musical taste, an indelible part of my life and story. Thanks Marian Gold, Frank Mertens and Bernhard Llyoyd! You does something great!

Do you mean pootler and majority of russians? Yes totally agree. The right thing to do was to rule Russia in 90s 00s and perhaps 2010s until they mature and become civilized. When USSR collapsed the West said FINALLY and walked away. As we see right now it wasn't the best decision.

It's important to note that they are from West Germany, it was not the same country it is today. They were on the front lines of the cold war.
@allanprimeau7864Ай бұрын
The country was a divided Germany in two parts, not two countries. A country divided against its will by the occupying allies and reunited with the bravery and will of eastern Germans over 40 years, especially since June 17th 1953. who worked hard to overthrow for good a geriatric communist, totalitarian puppet state of the Soviet Union for the sake of German reunification. Thanks also to Gorbachev for his support and billions of D-Marks in the coffers of a bankrupt Soviet Union.

What this video is saying Big in Japan is about, is not what Marian says it's about. Marian said its about other bands they knew who claimed to be famous, if they said they had never heard of them, they would say they were big in Japan. And some of them were.
