This episode always frustrated me because the owner was so rude to the server for being honest. Pinto was awful and the owner needed to take charge, but hearing the truth didn’t seem to sit well with him. If Ramsay had been the one to say it, I bet the owner would have just nodded along
@luciagianquitto40104 ай бұрын
This Is not the first time we saw owners reacting that way when servers are honest. You called Gordon to be helped, so why you get pissed???
@MeretrixTricks4 ай бұрын
I think that in such cases, owners are subconsciously aware that they are the ones to blame because they hired this chef, and they allowed him to behave like that, so they try to “protect” their decisions. It's pathetic behaviour, but I'm sure they simply can't overcome it. Their egos are to fragile.
@shadenox81643 ай бұрын
It's like when they get mad at the server for answering Gordon honestly when he asks about the menu. He can't help if he doesn't know what's wrong and he's going to find out soon enough anyways why waste the time?
@DKF_oli2 ай бұрын
i thought it was especially egregious because he was so silent and weak and never stood up to anyone else during the entire rest of the episode. i can’t tell if that’s who he really is, that he had been holding back, slipping through, or if he just got one small burst of inspiration to be a jerk to his one employee that actually didn’t deserve it.

I dunno...it's not really for the server to talk to his boss like that. If anyone spoke to Thier boss like that in any job they would face issues. Just my opinion.

At first, I thought the owners were decent people who just lost their way, but as the episode progressed, the truth came out. The real moment of truth was when Brian called Terry out on his BS. the way Terry reacted made me lose all respect for him right there. So, in the end the owners got what they deserved.

With bosses like that, maybe Pinto was bad at his job on purpose or had just gotten burnt out and didn't care, then moved on and felt better? That's my guess. That comment in the video that noted that Carol 'deserved an Oscar for her performance' makes me wonder if she's just nice in public but to her staff just as bad as her husband. I've worked for a few people of their 'standing,' and that tends to be how it is. They're really sweet to you until you work for them or something goes wrong - your fault or otherwise. I think she was just as guilty, tbh.
