Not really weird...its difficult when you're from a small company...crayon pop were kinda lucky they got the chance to be successful for a period of time

I was a huge fan of FM too. (I also loved the Sentai costumes and the colorful explosions lol.) For some reason Doom Chit reminded me of Orange Caramel... Thanks for these in depth videos about K-pop and Jpop groups. Around 2016 I used to watch mnet and Inkigayo all the time and sort of fell in love with K-pop. Your channel is one of the best I've found. Keep up the good work 👍

If it wasn't for Corona virus i would have not found JamJam"s KZbin (Soyul"s) daughter, which led me to Crayon Pop and all of their amazing music and even better Videos that are now a part of my life and bring me great happiness... I really like your videos. There’s a phenomenon I’ve noticed, over the years, where the fandoms of an up-and-coming group become toxic. The symptom of this is they’ll be almost hateful to new fans, ESPECIALLY international fans. I noticed this about CRAYON POP. I think one of the triggers is when a group promotes in Japan early in their careers. I don’t mean to dump on Korean fans but they do often take the attitude of, “These are OURS! Stay in your own country and f__k yourself!” You’ll see it almost violently so re: boy groups. The problem is, for the companies, getting those international fans is where the REAL 💴 is. Example: one of CRAYON POP’s best song is “Bing Bing” but it comes from their Japan promotions, so it gets buried. one of APINK’s best songs is “Brand New Days”, yet it only has about 5m views, after 6 years. I know the CRAYON POP fans and the “Pink Pandas” wouldn’t even talk to new fans. I could cite many examples but anyway, having a toxic fandom really hinders these groups’ chances for success. I really liked your observation that CRAYON POP doesn’t have a “goddess” member who eclipses all the other members. That really is annoying when a group becomes just the one member. 👍🙌. Way has done several good interviews, where she basically said the company just would not pay the girls anything. Even when they toured with GaGa, instead of getting paid better, the company told them the owed money for time-lost with their Korean promotions.😱

@@justanomaly2697 I don’t know for sure, but I speculate that some of these groups attract a disproportionate number of VERY young fans, like 12-15 yo, right when they debut. When you talk to those fans, they say things like, “views don’t matter!” By that, they mean KZbin views. Well, anytime since 2016 YT views matter in a big way, that’s the measure of the international audience! I think these fans are so young that they’re oblivious to the bigger picture. Also, international fans are irritating to them in various ways. Example: we put emphasis on different things, like vocal skills, whereas the Korean fans are 99.999% about the visuals. This is another thing you’ll detect even louder in boy groups but in girl groups, I could name several where the most popular member is also the weakest in terms of vocal skills. Two of my favorites, LABOUM and APINK, lost a member who was considered the “visual”, and never fully recovered. In both cases, the remaining members proved they were the backbone of the vocals but fans would leave comments to the effect of, “I’m done stanning them because ____ left!” Like the phenomenon you mentioned, of the “goddess” member, who becomes the “face” of the group. As for CRAYON POP, they were awesome! I loved them! I think their company totally wasted their potential and obviously, you have to pay these girls for what they’re doing! I mean seriously!

I like to show different songs for the intro so that I’m not repeating the same stuff throughout the video, but in the actual video I don’t cover the Japanese songs because that’ll make my videos way too long and I’m the one who spends hours editing them, not to mention these videos aren’t monetized. I do this as a hobby in my free time. But if you want to see videos done in a specific way why don’t you create your own channel and make your own content. I highly suggest it.
