During an interview Skyler said the label was gonna do the same thing they did with "Love the way you lie" by replacing Skykar with a more known artist, she said Em fought for her on this particular song, he said" We're not taking her off this song" and skylar said that was it....rest is history.

The last few lines of Em's last verse always makes my gut wrench in.. I've listened to quite many rappers from both old n new school and no rapper can express with so much passion like em does.. In His sad songs he never sounds sad but u can hear he fights to sound choked up and it's songs like bad husband and Arose.

Fun fact about this song, when I was in elementary school, some students wanted to do a circus like perfomance to this song. When they started to present it, one of the student injured herself (nothing too bad) at the second "I need a doctor". They had to stop their performance, and I always thought it was so ironic.

At the beginning of the song when he says I told the world one day I would pay it back you went on about paying the world back for the pain he went through or just having money I've always seen that line as paying Dre back especially when later on in the song he mentions trying to save Dre's life but what Dre did for him was way more other than that great analysis love your videos

Man, I really misheard a few lines in this track. I used to think the line "See this light in you?" sounded like "Demons fighting you." But honestly, I don't think that is too far off either. Either way, shows that this song really has different meaning than what I've been used to for all the years that I've listened to this. Still, this song is amazing.

Nah, I think "demons fightin' you" is correct. The line before that one says "before the life of me" when it seems pretty clear to me that it's actually "but for the life of me". There's a few issues with the lyrics in this video.
