Frank is an underrated playmaker and athlete, he has a lot of potential but nobody gives him a chance like a lot of young nba guards

Honestly, I it's the mindset of this generation. The "instant gratification" and I want to do things now type of thinking without letting things happen organically. He should have stayed at Duke. He could have rehabbed his foot, and redshirted, and played another year or two. Coach K was open about being surprised he declared for the draft! He would have then ended up being a top 10 pick easily. I am not denying his talent, I think he's incredibly gifted and underrated. But most players who don't develop properly and aren't able to take the time to prepare themselves for the NBA, end up getting washed out after a few years. Roughly 60 players are drafted every year, and only a few actually are ready and make an immediate impact, and then only a handful actually develop into great players who last long in the league.

NBA has better trainers and programs for their players. He did the right thing jumping to the nba. There’s levels to this , and if you got it it’ll show.

@@kzbeats2146 This his his 4th year. He's on his 3rd team. He's bounced around the G-League, and is currently on a two-way contract. He's almost on his way out of the league, but with a slim chance, I still hope he can turn it around. That being said, why do you say he made the right decision to jump to NBA, when the evidence suggests otherwise?

He's just been buried on the bench on a team with too many shooters. Trade him to a team that needs depth at the 1 or 2 spot.

I watched Frank during his collegiate time at Duke. I can't call it a career, because he wasn't there long enough to establish one. The allure of playing in the NBA can be the death of a talented player's career and I believe Frank's is a classic example of this.Drafting a player by the pro ranks based on potential no longer guarantees that will actually happen. The hangers on, or those who get in a players ear, telling him to screw that fundamental coaching,or staying in the high profile program to further develop the skillsets needed to insure a long and productive career at the next level. The pros don't want you staying past 19 years of age, because you will expose too many weaknesses and be considered an "old " player at 21.The one and done does not work for all players and in this case, the financial hardship doesn't even factor in. If the pros would remove the stigma, quality players like Frank could stay to further refine their game and build their bodies to withstand the rigors of a rugged NBA season. Many high profile players were at Duke when Frank got there, so as the saying goes, I'll wait for my turn, I believe this would have served him well into being a very high lottery pick. I wish him the best, but players should realize, the NBA will still be there.
