Dental student here! It's so ironic you're talking about this today- we talked about oral candidiasis and HFM disease in pathology. In my opinion you should have seen a dentist instead of a general physician b/c they aren't as familiar with these oral diseases. The Dr. definitely was in the right for asking you about HIV (although he should have been nicer about it!)- candidiasis in adults when there's no obvious contributing factors is usually a strong indicator of HIV. And it's interesting you had HFM disease b/c from my understanding from lecture it only happened to young kids. Glad you're feeling better!!

The thing is dentists can refuse to see you if you have a mouth sore or anything oral that is contagious because people don't realise how contagious they are. Hence the hostility from the doctor. It is very likely Joey picked this up from his traveling and something in his hotel room combined with traveling and not changing his toothbrush (most people don't when traveling to new cities). When traveling it is SO important to have good hygiene and keep your vitamins up, wash you hands, avoid touching uncleaned objects in the room ext. A mouth soar usually begins because of a vitamin deficiency. Your body is exposed to a new environment and your immune system is automatically down when you are tired or stressed.

Thrush is also super common from being on antibiotics!! The only reason hand foot and mouth is seen more common in kids because of day care and poor hygiene, anyone can get it

If Joey contracted Thrush from Antibiotics then he would not have also contracted hand and mouth. Poor hygiene doesn't just mean your OWN hygiene. It means the environment around you and like I said in hotel rooms you are much more likely to pick up diseases. I know this as I am studying Biomed and we regularly see patients who have contracted something uncommon from traveling around the face or mouth. It is unlikely for "anyone" to get it as most people have a good enough immune system to fight off any invasions. But when you are traveling you are more exposed in a constant new environment which wears the body down and if why Joey got hit with two illnesses.

I can relate so much to what Joey said at the end of the video. At the start of this year I was really sick for like three weeks and I literally couldn’t eat anything and I found everything so depressing because I literally could not do anything but sit on the sofa. And every time I felt I was getting better it got worse again. I love you so much Joey and I’m so glad your feeling better and back to your usual self ❤️

I'm so glad you can eat solid food again! Every so often I have a lot of mouth ulcers (maybe 6 or 7 at a time) and I know exactly how it feels to not eat your favourite food. The pain when you eat is excruciating! I lose a lot of weight as well because of them. Whenever I have them I live off sandwich ham and yogurt! When I get to eat solid food again it makes my day because food is the most important thing in my life.

Joey, i was just recently diagnosed with pediatrich crohns with stricture. I got an unnecessary surgery for adhesions (which i did not have). I missed the first month of school. I was not a happy camper. I could not eat solids for at least two months. The first thing i was allowed to eat, i ate a grilled ham and cheese sandwich, frosted flakes, and a rice krispie. While i couldn't eat, i watched cooking shows, (hellthy junkfood, you suck at cooking etc.) Read southern cooking magazines, and literally every other commercial on tv was a food commercial. I lost so much weight, and almost had to get a pickline, (the tube that goes to your heart to feed you, thank god they gave me a chance to eat first.) I watched your videos, and they made me so happy! They filled up the empty time in the hospital! I love you and Daniel. Thank you so much, Joey! Have a lovely day!

I don't know why but I feel like Joey's going to propose to Daniel on his birthday. In his birthday video Joey said he would have to find a way to make Daniel's birthday more special than Daniel made his and in this video he said that he was "marriage material" and he said he was a keeper and he wouldn't let him go. But maybe I just say that because me and Daniel share a birthday and I really want him to propose on my birthday for some reason. (December 16th is his birthday in case anyone was wondering)

The same thing happened to me when I had a cancer scare a few years ago because I lost a lot of weight in a short period of time. The doctor I saw asked me if I wanted a HIV test, despite me saying that I had been in a committed relationship for 5 years at that point. I felt like he was trying to push an idea of having HIV on me. He could've been a lot more tactful with it

The colloidal silver is SO GOOD!!! My aunt makes it and we all use it! I use it because whenever I eat food my head itches and I spray it on there it stops itching.
