The 1993 allegations and their devastating effect on Michael Jackson has been well documented, but the other participant in the case, a 13-year-old Jordan Chandler, is often overlooked.
What did his life look like after the multi-million dollar settlement? And where is he now? Does he live an elusive life of luxury thanks to the scandal that surrounded him all those years ago? Or did the whole ordeal forge a path of destruction and turmoil no amount of means could solve?

I saw an interesting video about a girl that went to college with Jordan in New York. Said she had a Michael Jackson t-shirt on in class and Jordan told her that he liked her t shirt and that is what started their friendship. There was a also a report that when Michael met the Chandler's to discuss the settlement in 1993 that Jordan ran up and hugged Michael when he walked in the room. He was a victim of his father's greed and you see where it got him. What goes around comes around and the other accusers will find that out soon enough.

Because he’s laying low, he doesn’t want to be attached to that anymore probably, he feels bad most likely. He feels guilt cause of what his parent did. If I was in his shoes, I wouldn’t want to come out & publicly speak again. Or maybe he’s waiting for the right time to fully tell his story with Mike & what actually happened. Maybe now’s not the right time for him. Maybe he’s not emotionally ready to fully deny the allegations. Maybe he’s trying to just put this stuff behind him now. You gotta put yourself in his shoes. MJ had it really bad but this kid (now adult) was in the spotlight & was embarrassed by his dad and his actions. With constant hate as well, I’m sure there is. Or maybe you’re right that he might just take this to his grave. I think it’s hurting him by keeping it inside but I guess it’s his choice to. He should reflect & get to clear some stuff for the record but not forced.

I remember all of this as I was in my early 20's at the time. First thing I thought of was: How could parents settle for money when their child has suffered such a trauma? Oh, yeah, that's right: Greed. Now, almost 30 years later and watching interviews of Michael Jackson many times only convinced me more and more that he was the real victim here. Also, Michael had this innocence about him due to the lack of his own childhood. As a therapist today, think back to Michael's interviews, especially the one in 2003. I totally believe that he slept in the same bed as the children. Is this appropriate? Absolutely! Did Michael Jackson know that? Absolutely not! He didn't have a childhood as he worked and worked. He didn't get slumber parties or any other freedoms that children get to have. Is this an excuse? Of course not! He was a grown man, he should have known that ann there are many who didn't have a childhood that would know that. However, If you go back and watch the 203 Neverland Interview, you will notice that Michael 100% does not see anything wrong with it. Why would a man, who has been horrifically accused, try to convince a journalist how it's ok to have a sleep over with kids and be in your underwear like them. It's like listening to a 6 year old really. Unfortunately, what probably happened in this case, Jordan may have went home and talked to his parents about how much innocent fun he had and they both saw dollar signs. RIP Michael Jackson. I don't consider myself a hug fan of yours but you were always there and was singing the song "Ben" when I came into this world. You are believed and many of us miss you, love you and your incredibly insightful music , dance and stage performances are sorely missed and much needed in these times. Thank-you for the music.

After watching so many documentaries and different opinions on MJ, I feel that the “ordinary” people that entered his life felt entitled to staying connected with him, receiving help/presents and the attention. When MJ decided to distance himself from them for whatever reason, they get bitter and nasty. It’s a bit like a romantic relationship that ended badly where hate stems when one person will not let go. If you truly loved MJ as a friend, you would not turn your back on him. And let’s be honest, the parents are obviously opportunists like Joy Robson. She abandoned her husband in pursuit of fame and money, which is totally wrong and selfish.

It's so interesting that all the people who knew Michael well, have said they cannot imagine him doing such a thing. In 1994 there was a GQ article (by Mary A. Fischer) - one of the few journalists who took the time to actually research the case - titled 'Was Michael Jackson framed?' It explains so much, if anyone has ever had a doubt. 'What emerges from such an examination, based on court documents, business records and scores of interviews, is a persuasive argument that Jackson molested no one and that he himself may have been the victim of a well-conceived plan to extract money from him.'

Martin Bashir has so much to answer for. He manipulated Diana and he did Michael also. I’ve never believed any of the vile rumours. I think Michael was simply starved of a true childhood due to the pressure of his early fame and because of strict parents who saw him first as a business and not a child. As an adult, the poor guy just wanted the childhood he so sorely missed out on. That’s why he hung out with kids. The gutter press never left him alone and these vultures who made allegations against him, circled him for his whole life. He’s in a better place now.

I was looking up his lyrics to Stranger in Moscow, which the original song for that it was supposed to go on the sonic three soundtrack or something but since these allegations came out they forced him to withdraw so he use the songs melody and made stranger in Moscow. and I was on genius the lyric app, and one of the lines that were broken down mention how he used to roam the streets at night looking for anybody to talk to because he was that lonely in his life. 😢 mannn he was way too nice for his own good and he lovedd his race most of all and never stopped vouching for african americans. I know it was because of his soft voice and his friendly dememor that led people to act like he was some type of pedophile. You can’t even be a good nice person without somebody trying to kick you to the ground.🙄🙄🙄

@@meramail From what I read a while back, Evan Chandler's final years were spent in isolation and hiding. Besides being riddled with illnesses, the entire world despised him for his conduct in the Michael Jackson allegations, and he was receiving death threats. All of that -- along with his evident mental issues -- most likely compelled him to commit suicide. One thing that's always intrigued me -- and of which I wish there was evidence -- was the claim of his plastic surgeries and cosmetic procedures that made him look unrecognisable. I'd like to see _how_ unrecognisable he had become.

@@BUDOKAIultimate3 not true.. In an interview Tom masereau says that when he learnt about the details of the 92/93 case he told MJ that he shouldn't have settled and that MJ told him he never wanted to settle, but the people around him all advised him that it is better to settle and his insurance company (and people in his team) was worried that not settling will cause too much damage to brand MJ with prolonged media circus and would end up costing much more than the settlement amount in terms of lost Profitability(they were only looking at it from business angle, but obviously didn't say that directly to MJ) , so everyone persuaded MJ... Now MJ wasn't a lawyer, when all the so called experts around you are saying the same thing and you're not in an emotionally strong place (which am assuming MJ mustn't have been considering he was on a world tour when this all started and it came out of left field) then obviously you'll end up listening to the so called experts.. Thank you for dealing with this issue. However, I think you should have addressed the taped phone conversation with Evan Chandler, which was before the settlement, although I'm not sure when it surfaced. This is vital for anyone not familiar with the case to understand that Jordan's father most likely made up the allegations. Please consider editing this video to include this information. I imagine Jordan doesn't want the attention and maybe doesn't want to speak ill of his father, but I wish he would tell his story and clear Michael's name once and for all. Jordie was a music business student at NYU. I know because I went there, but I started after he left. I also have a copy of the restraining order renewal Jordie filed. It wasn't dismissed. It was reversed on appeal. Lily is not a Chandler. She is a Schwartz. Jordie was in real estate while at NYU. In 2005, he sold most of his properties and returned to California. I don't think he's hiding. I think people are very protective of him.

It wasn’t just the kid’s parents it was also someone high up at MJ’s label. MJ didn’t want to tour, he wanted to just live his life. They wanted to continue to make lots of money off him. When he repeatedly refused they decided they would just break him and drive him to the point where he would need more money and they actually succeeded at doing so towards the end which is why he was putting together his final tour before his passing. The label convinced the kid’s parents and the kid they could make lots of money by settling out of court. In turn that showed the kids father how easy it was thus trying it again later when he ran out of money. Really it was all about the label wanting to control MJ. The other crooks in this are the lawyers. 5 million for their services? That’s an absolute absurdity, they didn’t put 5 million worth of man hours into that case. Lawyers make their money off intimidation and threats of we will get you or hurt your image somehow and so people pay to prevent it. Our legal system in this country has become very corrupt.

That’s so sick. Michael was a good person and really cared about those kids and their parents. The fact that they lied on him for money and ruined his reputation is exactly why when you’re famous you can’t trust anyone. The fact that he’s a grown man and still won’t tell the truth says a lot. Hopefully that guilt haunts him and his parents for the rest of their lives.

I agree, he should’ve discredited the accusations as an adult , but maybe he wanted it to be done with as well. His parents used him as an instrument of manipulation for extortion. He was dragged through the media as well at a young age. He divorced his parents because he saw how messed up they were- they literally put their son in front of cameras and told him to lie without regard for him. I think he just wants to be left alone, like Michael wanted to be left alone.

Michael was unjustly and unfairly lied on; persecuted and dehumanized and all those who helped aid in his demise will not live and die in peace, which is why the prime 'accuser' (the father) died such a slow, sad, lonely and painful existence that he obviously 'thought' a shot to the head-would free him of. Let this story be a lesson to all - we all eventually reap what we sow - sooner or later.

I feel so sick hearing about this case. It’s 25 to 30 years ago when all this happened. During these cases that played out on a national stage, my heart bled for those kids and for the King of Pop both. When Michael died, one of the brightest stars in the galaxy went out. It seemed to me that no one other than the government ever wanted justice for harm toward children. How many parents put greed over justice for their kids. It’s almost impossible to believe anyone was seeking justice because those people knew no one had harmed the kids. Did anyone actually love any of those kids? My opinion, yes one person, only one person, and it was Michael. Michael worked so hard on everything in his life, and it’s so telling the parents used Michael’s money to try not to ever work again. One day I hope to hear him perform again, in Heaven. We never stopped loving you.

Michael was becoming TOO BIG . One Album Catapulted an artist into a Worldwide Superstar. Outside of having the Biggest Selling Album Of All Time. He owned the Beatles catalogue along with Songs from alot of other artist in the industry. He was on the road to selling more records combined than Elvis, they Could NOT let a Black Man hold all that power. The industry had to do something to stop his shine and they did. Dangerous probably would have been a bigger album if it wasn’t for the these allegations. Michaels career never really recovered from this

Jordie and Michael were both victims of Evan. A while back ago I've read that when this was all fresh, Jordie didn't speak to Michael. One day Michael was on the cover of a magazine Jordie was happy to see his friend again even if it was just in a magazine Evan angrily grabbed the magazine and said to Jordie that he wasn't allowed to see him. Jordie knows Michael is innocent. I think that he is scared that if he comes forward that the media will hunt him down. I just wish he would release a book and expose his late father.

Exactly. The man's popularity didn't diminish one bit and this was proven with the massive sell out of his this is it concert 2009. Imagine that! He was still in high demand even with his tarnished reputation and the fact that he hadn't performed nor put out new music in almost ten years. That is impressive! Only MJ could pull that off.
