My dad was a very dominant man and also predominant to my mum and often shouted to her and to me and my sisters! I desperate needed my mum to give me emotional support because of my insecurety but she could not give it to me! She had mental problems herself! I also was sexually abused by my uncle and I did not have the courage to tell my parents so I was very alone in those years because nobody stopped him and would protect me against him! My sisters did also experience some things with that uncle! So I did not have an easy childhood but the Lord was with me all the time and I overcame it all when I became His child in 1983! I could forgive my parents and my uncle! I very much enjoy your teachings Pastor Vlad! You are a precious man of God! May He richly bless you and your family! I was born with a lazy eye, specifically, 3rd nerve palsy and I’m a fairly decent musician and writer, but my insecurities keep me from posting videos or actually taking singing seriously. I developed the “goofy” personality to cope growing up, and anytime I did try to take myself seriously, I was mocked. But then I get angry when I sense people having pity for me. I’m going to watch this one a few times more. Thank you for this message, I’m 35 and I’ve been waiting my whole life to hear it.

I have a lazy eye. It gets worse with age. My parents could have done something about it, which is using glasses which correct it over time. My parents didn't care to correct it. This has taught me to be diligent as a parent vs being lazy or selfish. In a nutshell I learned how not to be a parent by observing how my negligent parents treated me.

@@winniecash1654 thanks for replying. I had a unique childhood as well. Mostly all the men on my dads side were/are criminal Freemasons, while my moms side were poor Irish catholics. My dads way of “helping” me was to cut every corner, pull every string, pay off every person he could. That’s all he knew how to do, was to teach me to cheat my way through life. My mom however, kept me in church, I’m talking, mass on Christmas morning level. So I grew up to feel like Harvey Dent, even though I’m not a crook, I’ve got the heart of a lamb, but I’ve been around wolves for so long, they look like fellow lambs to me. It’s almost like a stigmata, I bear the scars of the battle of principalities on my face. I do hope that one day I can transmute it like you and learn from the mistakes. I know that’s overkill, I’ve just learned a whole lot ab myself in the month since I left this comment. Have a blessed day! My 7 year old son was born with the same condition, in Argentina it is called ptosis palpebral. Far from being insecure he is a total extroverted child, a leader in his classroom, and in church, he loves reading in public and drawing, which makes him a mature person, and at home we give him the word of God and too much love ,, love is so powerful, i think thats the cure for all the physical and mental problems

There are drops out now for this diagnosis. I will be trying them for the first time in a couple of days. They are called Upneeq. Any MD or eye dr can prescribe them. Some people are using them for cosmetic purposes. They are about $250 for a months supply. BUT some places will let you try a sample. God bless you. ( no I do not sell these drops. Hello! your young son has dealt with his eye condition differently n you as his parents have played a part. We all have different struggles in life. At seven or eight years of age he is still young. It is often when we reach our teens years that we tend to compare ourselves with others. Keep instructing n letting him know our worth is not dependant on our achievement but on who we are in Jesus. But a relationship with God changes our perspective because we are convinced by Him of his love for us and our value. I had a lot of trauma in my earlier days, I recently lost my mother and I was an only child, and I have a chronic pain condition. These things do not work well together. I was born with a cleft lip and palate too back when it was still called a hare lip. Yes, kids can be very cruel. Growing up I saw photos of myself as a baby before and after surgery (which I had when I was about 5 months old). I always thought how could anyone love something that looked like that (before surgery), eventually I just got used to looking different and getting asked dumb questions like, "why is your nose like that?" Last year I saw a baby with a cleft lip (possibly worse than mine was) and she was just so cute and happy and I thought how lovable she was. If your daughter is doubting how special and beautiful she is maybe find her a fellow cleft lip friend so she can see how not ugly they are and hopefully relate that to herself. Oh wow! Thank you for sharing your testimony. I understand the feelings. At 8 a dog bit me on my upper lip giving a different look to my face, I was already shy and quiet due to the many abuses I suffered since 4, after my parents divorced, and that made me even more shy and insecure. I was bullied and called names. Then I migrated to USA and suffered the same situations from the lack of knowing English. But I came to the states looking for “a new life” and that’s what I got literally! The states is where I was introduced to a Christian church. Although it was a struggle to finally give in to God’s love, I’m so glad He persuaded me. God is good! I also have a physical condition, which is invisible, but very difficult (because I look fine but feel horrible at times and it’s hard to be understood ) I’ve been praying about my healing, but God is the one that decides. Brother Vlad, thank you for sharing your story. I was also born with many issues in the eyes from cataracts to eyelids that wouldn't open. Underwent many surgeries and grew up wearing VERY thick glasses until I was 19 when I put new lenses in my eyes. I grew up insecure too and hearing your story has given me much encouragement. Thank you for being you and praise God for using you for His glory. :)

I cannot remember how many times I have asked God. 'Why did you make me this way?' In fact, I went to bed last night asking that very question. I never focused on your eye, I focused more on your words. You are blessed to have overcome your insecurities while being so young. It took me decades to be comfortable with my appearance. And now I am old. But my walk with God and our Lord, by the power of the Holy Spirit, I am ok with it. The outer self means little. But your inner self, your heart is so much more important. I have vericose veins. I have had them since I was 11. I am tall and in my youth muscular and thin…a very beautiful girl. People would tell me to operate them. No. I love them. I have always been a believer and felt like my veins kept me grounded and free from being sucked into vanity. I recall Jacob’s displaced hip. My strength is my weakness ❤️❤️❤️

Your testimony is making me want to cry, not just because of my past growing up feeling like I was ugly, but even now as a Saint. Even children act like they don't want you to touch them, this happened recently. I love the Lord so much, but I would just love for Him to come right now, cuz even the Saints and their little kids can be cruel and unaccepting. The Saints needs as much prayer as the world. Thank you for such a beautiful testimony and being honest and truthful, and you happen to have a beautiful wife too. Amen Pastor. I can agree with you on this. I was born with a massive purple birthmark on my right cheek, neck and chest. And faced severe bullying from people everywhere. I grew up in a believing family and also went through many stages of blaming God. I then as an adult tried to commit suicide but God had other plans for me. I am also in ministry today but is still struggling with this inferiority but is using this to step out and preach and it’s amazing how God is using this with people and bringing people to understand Him. 🙏🏼. Pastor Vlad, this helped me so much, i grew up with a mom who constantly told me i was ugly. For years I prayed to be "pretty", thinking that is what would make me happy. As a teen and young adult I was attractive but never felt good enough because of things my mom would say. This eventually led to bad behavior as i looked everywhere but to God for my identity. Now as an older person it started to bother me again as our looks decline with age. Was praying one day and heard the very word you said--IDOLATRY! I was horrifed but have repented and am learning who i am in Christ Jesus, because THAT is the important thing!

Ahhh, yes...youth...good times, good times...🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 I remember it all, well. Children, and sometimes adults, can be so nasty. The bullying, the feeling inferior and un-loveable, the desire to fit it and be liked/loved/admired, the pre-occupation with self. We were beating ourselves up! Children need parents who are especially aware of their child's thoughts and feelings during their emotional school attendance years. This topic should be taught in schools and in the churches. I survived and came through it, as well. When you finally get past it all, it is so liberating! Thank you for sharing, Vlad, and for your authentic teaching of the scriptures. I have been watching and enjoying your videos, lately. Subbed.
