Maybe new movement, vehicles, maybe teleporters, new power, or it might turn radioactive like uranium or a new type of poison like gas and radioactivity

SAM ore will most probably be added to 1.0 but would mainly be used for mam research I reckon 🤔

if they are planning on keeping the per session rate of gaining it i would reckon you need to research it in MAM and then you can use it to craft something that should be limited to 1 or couple uses per game session... that could include stuff like teleporters or remote access to a storage container or as a longer lasting power source to a jetpack or vehicle...

so if I remember correctly, they stated in a QA that SAM ore nodes were limited because they had no use yet and didnt want players mining up a ton of it for no purpose. I doubt they will be removed in 1.0. I feel like if they were going to remove them, they would have told us about it with the node changes.

Changes to SAM ore might mean it becomes a gas. So not SAM ore, but SAG, There is only 1 gas, and another one would be nice. And as most changes are for late game, they said, gas would be a valid option. And about the increase and the decrease: that was only about thing we already use. That change map is so people who want to keep their save file will be able to take precautions. Them not showing about something that has no use in U8 means nothing. It could be that all are moved to other places. Perhaps SAG can only be found in caves. Those are very underused as well. Would be great to have to be forced to do to gas retrieving in caves.

I think it will just be reduced from Nodes to those chunks you can find around. Makes sense given most of the current sam ore nodes are already limited nodes when no other resource is limited

On coffee stains studios official KZbin channel, they’ve outright said that the SAM ore will be used in 1.0. They’ve also said that the Mercer Spheres and Somersloops are partsof the games story, which will come along with 1.0

I’d also like to combat the argument that “Just because something is planned, doesn’t mean it will make it into the game.” Coffee Stain is very open and clear about feature that will and will not make it into the game, if they thought that SAM ore couldn’t make it into 1.0, they would’ve told us by now, especially now that we have a release date.

aaargh.... why do folk say M K 1 (or 2 or 3 or 4 or 5) - its short for Mark 1, you know like Mark 1 Golf or Mark 2 Escort - as in the first or second version - Rant over 🤣 Have you not noticed that the texture for S.A.M. Ore looks very similar to the Mercer Spheres?? 😉
