Being in a box vs a near circle is very different, and the size of the rings are also different. The rules are also different and this is probably the most important aspect. But in a circular ring it's a lot harder to get cut off. In a square it's very easy.

If you have a potential champ, but he’s a little young, you need to slowly and gradually build him up. You can’t throw him to the wolves too early, or he’ll be forever lost.
