What happened to South Park?

I used to love South Park, but I lost interest maybe around season 13. I checked out some episodes from later on, but didn't find them remotely funny. It's not clever or as bold as it used to be. It kinda feels like the balls have fallen off it. The show should have ended with "You're Getting Old" it would have gave the show a bittersweet ending.

Like I feel that the show still takes jabs at both sides tbh; like as you said, overplaying the right's reactions to different issues and with how leftists also overplay different issues as well.
