Saying that Squad Busters has “not many gameplay possibilities” and is “lacking in depth” is a core misunderstanding of the game. It’s the possibilities and hidden complexity that makes the game appealing, for example, each match you get a limited set of characters to choose from, making each battle feel new and fresh, strategically picking out who to choose when a game is going means you have to have foresight and knowledge to be able to excel with the massive amount of choice. Not to mention modifiers which appear every game, map rotations which change what characters are good, and spells. While the game being compared (Brawl Stars) only has, your character, your comp, build, and basic mechanical skill. Remember, a game doesn’t need a fleshed out competitive scene to be good. And most people forget, Squad Busters is in its infancy, and based on the past 2 updates, the developers really care about the game that they created, and will try to make it the best game they can. It took Brawl Stars 6 years to get to its current state. Just because a game is new and doesn’t seem intricate on the surface doesn’t make it mind-numbing slop. I know criticism is subjective and so is praise, but this seems very biased. No hate to you. I love the in-depth explanation of what makes Brawl Stars special, while not being negative towards Squad Busters sudden popularity. Which as a long time Supercell fan I can agree with. But before bashing a game, give it a fair go, and try add context to why the issues may be present. 👍

I agree with what you said about Supercell's progression features. Most of their games give promise of progression as long as you just play. Squad busters does this, but their gameplay and strategy can be very frustrating sometimes. It's impressive how balanced and complex some features are, and while I enjoy Brawl Stars more personally, squad busters needs more work. It has a good development team, so i'm excited to be a part of their future.

Honestly, Squad Busters has a lot of potential because while you are right it is very simple, sometimes that's what precisely what I want. When I come off a difficult lecture, I genuinely love playing Squad Busters because its simplicity makes it relaxing which is one of its strongest features. As for the sacrifice of Clash Mini, I don't really like that they did it, but to be fair, the game was reaching levels of complexity that I just couldn't enjoy as a casual game. Of course my friend who played it and worked hard to reach the top of the Clash Mini trophy standings, would disagree and is probably disappointed the result of his efforts just vanished... but he still likes Squad Busters. So yes, I think it's a very good game that if capable of maintaining its core values, could get to the top of mobile gaming.

Luck based gameplay does not really influence a game in a bad way, because it can make the game feel more intense and makes you feel the need to pay attention. As an example Fortnite really depends on luck as well but is a genuinely good game. Simple mechanics don’t equal a bad game. As you said, the one on one combat is not a spectacular scenery, but the strategy. Unlocking new characters and new formations gives the game certain depth as well. You make very good points in the video and I like, how you try to criticize the game, but not only by saying that it’s bad, but by naming the pros and cons. Although, I can’t agree on every point, I love the video and the effort you seem to have put in there.

What makes Squad Busters appealing is precisely its unique form of gameplay, and that's the reason why Supercell games are often successful: creative and innovative gameplay. Of course the main focus is on the strategy required to build a squad, the name of the game makes it clear. Now, as someone who's currently at its highest level of gameplay, it does get more complex and skill-rewarding in terms of player to player interactions. Mechanics such as attacking the backline, taunting to bait spells and time management are essential to thrive in the top rankings. I do agree that conflict avoidance being a safer way to play makes the game less interesting, but that could be easily fixed by rewarding players for eliminating other squads with extra star tokens, gems, gold, exp, etc. This is still a well done video, but I believe that the expressed opinion was formed before properly experiencing the game in its highest stages.

Ive been playing Squad Busters and Clash Mini since thet were announced. They wereboth pretty awesome games, calling SB a walking simulator isnt fair tho. You have to manage ypur Squad and strategize the Characters youre choosing. I guess the Fans are just mad at Squad Busters because Clash Mini died when Squad Busters went global. I have a friend group that has been playing since launch and out of everyone in our friend group I’m one of the people that plays a lot. And when you say that it’s very luck based that’s super true, in the gameplay and in the new transformers update. Like when we got the free 10 star Chests, we were garenteed a 4 star and got BOW which just sucked because everyone I knew had gotten like barbarian king and characters that actually are crazy for gameplay. And since pre realize it’s gotten much easier to grind up to the position I’m in right now, like I almost had gotten a natural 4 star as a ftp and after the update it became irrelevant. Right now I’m still deciding whether I should continue the climb but my amount of bad luck that has happened to me makes it hard to keep going.

Lmao no. Most stopped playing the same week of the games release. The gameplay is not unique, and requires no skill or strategy. I compare it to Clash Royale, both SB and CR are bad games, but at least Clash requires some strategy. The game is not getting popular either. People have been saying the game is dead for months now. Unless a miracle happens like what happened or Brawl Stars, I don’t see this game lasting until the end of next year (And hey, if it does shut down next year, more content for my channel ;)

People who say Squad Busters requires no skill or luck are still playing against bots. I just reached squad league and the people there go crazy, and I’ve had friends who are lower level join my games and instantly get destroyed because of the skill of the players. There is so much skill involved with picking the right characters, and when to use them. The dice feature (which is now free for everyone to use) makes it so you can reroll the characters, making it less about luck because if you are looking for a specific character, you now have 6x the luck of finding it

I guess every bread has their cheese. I played BS for some time, but it just wasn't for me. Tried it again recently and got the quickest reminder why I don't like it. SB is what really took the cake for me. Supercell has a few games in their roster and each of them will fit well to a different type of gamer.

In few updates, they made a lot of changes for making game better for f2p players like removing Megas and giving character skins in free , introducing star chest, etc. I'm myself a f2p player and I love it. Never feel like am behind other players because of their match making system.
