since the tv show takes place 9 years after FO4, I would imagine that at this time, the Boston area is pretty much a Minutemen/UTC commonwealth. A provincial government, with laws, a police force, and the settlements (at least some of them) are torn down in favor of rebuilding the prewar areas, like Concord and Lexington. The Minutemen Commonwealth extends from The Glowing Sea all the way up to F(B)ar Harbor...at least along the coast. They have a working relationship with the Brotherhood, who mostly went back to the Capitol Wasteland. The Railroad got folded into the Minutemen as sort of an Intelligence agency. The population is growing rapidly due to the massive food output and clean water (technology taken from the Institute). Raider and Gunner factions are essentially none existent in this area. Further tech taken from the Institute allows the Brotherhood to send messages to the west coast more efficiently which is why the Prydwinn is on the west coast in the show. Then again, this is just part of my head canon, so I guess we will find out (hopefully) in the show.

I'd like to think Appalachia and that whole region associated with the FO76 series had the best chance at rebuilding due to access to vast amounts of resources, talented people and they have a gold-backed currency. Then you've got Enclave resources like nukes and orbital strikes. The whole area could very well been rebuilt and well defended by the end of the events canonically but the whole issue with re-establishing contact and stuff with the other regions in America might be impossible because of terrain, hazards and mutated monstrosities. Appalachia definitely thrived after the events in FO76 and the vault dwellers went on to rebuild.

That's what I like to roll with. Finishes the story of 3 & it's DLC's, then leaves the Capital Wasteland because between their dad dying and being kicked out of 101, there's nothing left for them there but unpleasant memories.

The minutemen ending is just as likely Or he could’ve done both the quest lines and done the raid with the minutemen so he’s the general of the minutemen and a part time paladin for the brotherhood. Him doing both quest lines means liberty prime would be back to working order

My head-canon for the Lone Wanderer: disillusioned by the Brotherhood under Arthur Maxson, they left for The Pitt to help Midea and her faction of ex-slaves fight against the ex-slave faction of Wernher who aims to become the new Ishmael. Caught between them is Ishmael's daughter and her sickness curing DNA, serving as the gold doubloon in this struggle.

My cannon was after F3 my character marries Sarah and rises in the ranks of the BOS under Lyon. Lyon has my character lead a team on a mission west to re-establish communication with the west coast BOS. Sarah insists to come but her father asks me to convice her to stay as he knows that while my character is capable and has the best chance at leading the mission to success, chances of the mission failing and never returning are also high. Upon reaching the Mojave in their vertibirds the expedition is shot down by Caesars Legion with all team memebers dying upon impact or being picked off by legionaries. My character survives and continues the mission shedding his BOS garb to avoid attention from the Legion or the NCR while he tries to make contact with the BOS chapter in the Mojave if they are still there. He takes a job as a courier to give him an excuse to travel around searching for signs of the BOS. He is shot in the head by Benny and suffers amnesia forgetting who he is, his wife Sarah and his mission. He joins the NCR as a soldier and later becomes a Ranger. After the battle of Hoover Dam his status as a hero allows him to rise through the ranks and he leads a team of Rangers who are tasked with finding a synth who had become a threat to the NCR and was at the top of their most wanted. He travelled east pursuing the synth who picked off his team one by one before reaching the commonwealth. Upon reaching the commonwealth the trail goes cold and he is captured by the BOS who are surprised to find an NCR Ranger this far east. He is brought to Maxon who cannot believe his eyes as the Lone Wanderer of his youth had returned. My character does not believe him until photographs and videos are shown of him as a Sentinel and with his beloved Sarah. Maxon then informs him that Sarah was KIA but she searched for him for years but returned believing he must have been lost to the wasteland.

If u want the lone wanderer to continue their adventure as a courier, u should try TTW ,it will makes more sense tbh, you should try it out, the transition of the lone wanderer into becoming the courier via train and the 3 years later timeskip allows you to imagine anything that he could possibly done in the past 3 yrs. My character went from a snarky, childish, selfish and a jerky incompetent teenager in fallout 3 DC to a extremely competent baddas, wise and mature man but still making a bit snarky remark in new vegas mojave, i roleplayed my character into having one of the best gaming character development in gaming history

I honestly believe without a doubt that in every single Fallout game, no matter what ending, the protagonist walks away in some form of personal success and the game ends, you turn it off and realize that's as far as it goes because it isnt real life and it is a very incredible franchise and only that. Dont forget to save or you'll never finish without hating it.
