the grail wasn’t ever there, the painting has 0 cups/chalices and the first mention of the grail was in the Arthurian legends which wasn’t taken from any biblical source but an old Celtic legend, so chances are that no one has ever found it because it never existed outside the imagination of people

Rumour has it the Holy Grail was looted by King Richard of England in 1190 when he pillaged Jerusalem before the Muslim Caliphate took control of the city again. That grail then travelled with him on his boat back to England, although he made stops in Cyprus, Sicily and France before he got home. After leaving Israel, he didn't get back to England for another 14 months, so he could have took it anywhere on land with him, in these locations. And considering he lost two thirds of his ships, there is every chance it could also be resting at the bottom of the Med. Or it was actually taken to England and someone knows exactly where it is, in 2018, but is keeping it secret, clearly. Wouldn't be surprised if the Queen has it locked up somewhere, considering she is technically a descendant of Richard I. The family would have inherited it, if it hasn't been lost or stollen. And that's assuming the Holy Grail even exists. I doubt it ever did.

We know from the gospels that Joseph of arimathia asked pontius pilote for the body of jesus and placed it in a tomb. Legend has it that Joseph used the grail cup to catch the blood of jesus at his crucifixion and this gave the cup power to live eternally. In the movie the last crusade, Indiana Jones chooses a grail that he says is the cup of a carpenter. I've always wondered why the grail in the movie has gold inside of it. I recently bought a replica of the grail from the movie and a copy of the grail diary. In the diary is a drawing of the grail cup and written below it says this is a cup of a carpenter. Indy has this page open when he tries to go through every test to reach the grail so that by chance his father could be healed. I know it's only a movie but it has loads of interesting ideas. I love the gospels and I'm fascinated by the grail legend.

The cup that Jesus used at the Last Supper is a holy thing for ALL Christians as Christ is the Son of God, the Second Person of the Blessed Trinity. His Shroud (burial cloth) is preserved in Turin. We do not 'worship' these items, but we do venerate them as they are items that Jesus used here on earth.
