Because the expansions are now smaller in scale but quicker.. The chances of a Tengu expansion IMO is more likely than ever. I'd like them to make a Tengu expansion in like 2-3 years time.

My theory is since they are not doing the elite specs every expac(possibly at all) anymore, the next expansion after SoTO will be the Dominion of Winds and Tengu will be the first added race. As Tengu has development and was meant to be one of the race choices, that is not a rumor its fact. Tengu Thief or Elementalist/Mesmer sounds badass.

Nope. Anet has been doing less and charging you more for it, with their new U5 game under development you won't see anything major, remember all the SotO hype? Yeah... but you can keep huffing on copium.

it would be cool if in the expansion a wizard gets mad and turns some of them into griffons and we get a griffon mount that talks crap to us when we are flying. like legends on a rev

I remember right after EoD was announced WP speculated quite a bit about possibility of tengu being much involved in the expansion's story/lore or even being a playable race and it was sort of a meme at that time. I'm not much interested in playing as a Tengu but I still remember that time I first saw Tengu's Wall in Caledon Forest and since then it has that mystery aura for me so if we're ever able to visit the Dominion of Winds in the future that would be very very cool.

I really wish the Tengu were a playable race. However, with how much GW2 struggled (aka neglected) to handle the clipping issues with the Charr's tails, and the Asura's ears/feet, I bet they thought "3 non-humanlike races is too much work for us...let's scrap the Tengu." Their history is really interesting though. I think it was a missed opportunity not having them as a playable race from the start. They're never gonna do it at this point.

Tengu should've been playable instead of Charr. Then maybe us humans could have some bonding time with them as we retake Ascalon and build a now glorious Great Wall together (heard they're good at it).
