I’m an Indonesian Christian myself. Christian is the second biggest religion after Muslim here in Indonesia. But if you go to the eastern part of Indonesia, the biggest religion there Christian instead of Muslim. I am from the western part, Jakarta, yes we are minority but it’s not hard to find Christians here. Our situation isn’t as harmonious as we used to be ever since some people start mixing politics and religion. There are many discriminations towards minorities. But I THINK and HOPE it’s getting better now. Thanks to the Millennials and GenZ, they’re more open to differences.

indonesia has been christian even before dutch colonialism or the European state era, idk why do Americans or foreigners always think Indonesia is Muslim country, the only place where Muslim state exist during the old world are just Aceh, Malaysian and mollucans/ternate, java island are never Muslim until European colonization arrived actually they facilitated us with hajj to arab kingdom, etc. as Christian my self, many Indonesian don't take serious religion actually, I guess I have to deal with foreigner anxiety a lot, everytime I go to the west they always ask about Muslims stuff but we didn't know alot of things.
