If the young lady had known what she was doing (not that it was her fault), she could have asked for a vehicle history report, on the vehicles she was interested in, which all dealers are supposed to have available without charge. Seems like these vehicles might have been written off before, fixed up a bit, and resold. But you can't register a car like that until a qualified mechanic has deemed it totally safe again, which is usually not possible since it was written off because of too much damage. People do this all the time anyway. It costs very little for a vehicle history report, probably around $30, and anyone can ask for one through AMVIC and it would have the vehicles entire history on that report. All accidents with damage amounts and if they were fixed, history of ownership, etc. It's a complete background check on a specific vehicle. If a dealer doesn't have one available or want to charge you for one (at a high price) walk away. Do your buying research like he said. Don't go into any shop looking like a target and knowing nothing. That's how they get you! Even when buying privately, you can order a Vehicle History report yourself using the cars VIN and the info you got from the sellers registration card. They should produce that. And get an mechanical inspection as a condition of sale, written right on the bill of sale. Take it to your own mechanic, not one offered by a shady dealership or the private seller.

I just bought a car with cash $7,500. First before you even test drive it, check the Carfax. If they don’t provide you the Carfax, leave. Then ask the dealership if you could test drive the car and take it to a mechanic just to get it looked over. If they say no, leave. Before you give them the cash, just ask if it has a 30 day warranty most don’t most is as is but some do. I always buy cars with cash, never financed a vehicle and this has always worked for me. These jerks agree on a price, then when the deal gets written up, they try and tack on additional $5,000. That young lady needs to file a lawsuit against this David punk and his crappy car dealership. Here's looking forward to them CLOSING DOWN SOON!!

This showed up on my feed and I first thought it happened in Pasadena, Ca. I wondered “How the hell is this guy getting away with his business model in Pasadena, Ca?” Then I realized it is Pasadena, TX. Which makes sense. Texas has some of the worst consumer protection laws in the country.

Felony Tresspass False Reporting Complete with an Oscar award for all "ouches". That's not journalism. That's trolling. If there wasn't a legal precident or court judgement to make the scam claims, A good lawyer will move to reduce or dismiss the assault charges and open a slander case against the reporter and media company.

If all you have to buy a car is $1,500 buy yourself a bus pass and put the rest in the bank
@mrjfrostbite2 күн бұрын
That’s more than a reasonable amount for a down payment on a decent used car or even a smaller new one. The issue more than likely is her credit history which is what these scam dealerships thrive on. They know the victim has no other option so they think it’s a free for all. The cars on those lots might not even be worth $1500 so they are profiting big time on garbage they bought at auction for next to nothing and charging top dollar for them.

I need to call you. I have a patent lawyer who said he could help me get a patent. Turns out he didn't turn in my actual drawings and I didn't get the patent. I paid him a lot of money. They have what's called an abandoned application status which means anyone else can use your idea make a change, file it and claim it's their idea and get a patent.
@Sashazur3 күн бұрын
First thing you do is make sure he knows what you want. Then if he can’t deliver find out why. Then talk to another patent lawyer to make sure the other lawyer is out of line. Finally after all that, contact the bar association in the state where this lawyer practices and tell them you are considering making a malpractice complaint.
@theroadking5473 күн бұрын
@Sashazur I contacted the actual person who determines whether or not your idea should be patented. I emailed him my drawings and he compared them with what the attorney filed and they weren't the same. I paid the attorney around 12,000.00 dollars.
