What happened while visiting my childhood home

Wow ! I have been watching your videos for awhile now. Not until U saw your mom and realized how young you are. I just turned 60. My four kids run from 32 to 26. Have a great visit with family. Time flies by. My kids list there dad in 2012. Life is precious. I thank God for every moment. Take nothing for granted. God Bless your family.

Amy - you broke my heart then lifted it. It made me remember my family that have unfortunately passed and some of those subtle details I had forgotten which are my own. Go see your family and if you can hug them, sit and remember, teach your children your past. At 51 I know how important this is and Amy I am glad you shared your past with us.

I’ve always liked to walk down memory lane..maybe that’s why I have always liked to look at family photos so much. I tell my kids all the time, take lots of pictures, but have them printed, have regular paper photos to look at and share with others. It’s really good entertainment! My Grandparents moved to Lexington from Detroit in the 60's. My Grandpa used to work selling tires at the Sears that used to be right near the train bridge. I saw my first movie in a theater at the Blue Water Theater in downtown PH, AND used to get my school clothes at Sperry! We were up in Fort Gratiot over the same weekend you guys were there! We have a cottage right on the lake. Thanks for sharing your childhood!! Lauren, you are glowing!!! So beautiful !

Amy, you are a blessed lady. I don't have a childhood home or family to go visit. My husband, myself and our five daughters are pretty much all we have. I am hopeful that moving forward our family can be tight and show our future grandchildren and our daughters what granparents are supposed to be like. I also hope that they become awesome Aunts to their sisters children. It is so hard when we don't have that in our life to show them. Your dad and mom are lovely and their home is amazing. I bet she had a fantastic birthday with you all there and getting to spend the day with you. I am so glad you were able to have that yime with them, I hope you realize how very special that is to be able to share them with your children, our daughters have never known those kind of relationships. Thankful for our Heavenly Father who chose me. He adopted me forever and I gain an inheritance through Him. I am not a stranger but a member of His household. I have been to Kalamazoo, MI to ski several times.

Queen Anne’s Lace (white flowers) and chicory (the blue/purple flowers)...they line the fields and roads everywhere here in Minnesota too in the summer, I usually have to stop to pick some! Makes me so happy to see them when they arrive in their wild places.
