My son and I filled out the FAFSA on Jan. 2nd. He received an email giving an SAI estimate shortly after submitting...But, now, when we log on to check the status, it still says "In Review". We're concerned because some of his early acceptances need the FAFSA finished to complete the financial aid package by a specific date. Should we fill it out again?

We are in a panic. Twin sensiors in HS living in poverty. We (aunt and uncle) helped fill out. First twin -1500, full Pell. 2nd twin something went wrong because submitted without twin signature. Submission email says can't calculate SAI, must wait for processing (when?) to provide signature. Will processing happen at the same time FASFA is sent to colleges? Tried dozens of calls to help line and they are not answering. Help!

Hello! Unfortunately, a lot of people are experiencing weird problems like this one. Fortunately, it seems like the FAFSA will no be sent out to colleges until the end of the month. I would try to call the help line really early in the morning, around 8:00 am (we had students who had success with that) I know this is stressful, but remember colleges and universities are aware of this issue and will have a plan in place.
