Playing is very fun, but watching only gets fun if it’s a close game, like the bottom of the 9th situations, or if it is a postseason game. I’m 14 and am hoping to eventually at least play for a college, if not go farther.
@stevenbolewicki22893 жыл бұрын
Not saying it doesn’t take any skill, but practice looks like a lot of standing around and doing an easy task like fielding a ground ball and waiting for your next one. Even hitting, they hit a few, then 10 mins later they are sitting waiting around for their next round of hitting. Not like they go in there and literally hit 2 hours straight.

As a former baseball player, even played intramural baseball during college and we used full/mlb size field and umpires, it stinks to see a lot of colleges going to turf, it’s gotta stink the most for the players. Even though our university didn’t have any intercollegiate sports of any kind, it was nice to play on real grass and dirt, no turf at all. The mlb size field is there because the university used to play intercollegiate, and for a lot of other sports too.

4:30 - (imagine this scenario) Texas Rangers, at home and winning, 8-1 in the top of the 9th, 3-2 count on the batter, 2 outs, no runners on base and the batter hits a solid and sharply hit, one-hop line drive towards the shortstop… now, could you imagine someone like Corey Seager fielding a ground ball and then high stepping it, like they are doing in this drill, into a throw to first to finish out the game!?!?!? That would be absolutely insane… and COOL AS A MOFO!!!

@howiewowie444 жыл бұрын
NavalSEALSniper & Sports best advice is to go JuCo. I know there is little appeal to going to community college and playing baseball, but that is where you can turn a mid level baseball player into a D1 athlete. Going to school in the PNW and playing in the NWACs was the best decision I could have made for myself as a baseball player. Not only are you going up against rosters which are filled with D1 and even pro level talent and arms, but there are a few JuCo teams out there that could beat a fair amount of power 5 schools.

Curious that I see beautiful new Rawlings gloves instead of Under Armour. D-1 places have interesting politics of sponsorship. A family member of mine played at a D-1 spot with TPX sponsorship and had to black out logos on certain gear. That said I would love to be at one of these places on swag day when a new shipment of gear shows up.
