What Happens If The Steelers Don't Win This Year? [23/24 Season Preview]

They've sorta fallen at the last hurdle the past few years. Last year they started to decline towards the end of the year, not to mention the poor performance in the CC semi final Vs Fife. The year prior was much of the same, decline in the final stretch of league play, and a poor playoff performance Vs Dundee in the quarters finals. If fox doesn't win any silverware this season I struggle to see him keeping his job.

I’ve seen the Steelers since 2004 and it either seems that other teams have stepped up or teams have stepped up and we’ve stepped backwards Cardiff and Belfast seem to be the best in the league and after Christmas Steelers seem to fall apart and not know how to score

I do think the league has stepped up as a whole. I think the teams Belfast have assembled the past few seasons have been the highest skilled teams we have seen in the UK. But everyone has stepped up as a whole. I remember the days when the bottom feeder teams would sign nobody's, and have like 1 scoring line. But this year, if you look at Fife and Dundee for example, whilst those line-up's do have holes, and i don't expect them to win the league title or anything, they have some good players throughout the lineup. Both have 3 decent scoring lines, solid in the pipes, with some interesting pieces on the Blue line.

@@EIHLMatchHighlights I think so too I do agree I remember teams like the capitals having Tyler besko in net and the hull stingrays having Jeremy tendler all teams had an individual player but seems like the teams are starting to step up and have 2 really solid lines and causing upset to other teams but it’s good to see the league getting better and it will be good to see teams like Glasgow Guildford fife or Dundee try make the playoffs or go on a good cup run instead of it being the 4 main teams of belfast Cardiff Sheffield and nottingham
