Honestly looking at their reaction makes me think how fragile an idol life is. I can actually understand their reaction n im glad they did not take the "i love u" word for granted. At any time, these word can actually be someone last word so im just so glad sungjae actually call back to check despite it being a mission. This is normal in Alot of Asia especially here in Korea. You see in our society Love is a very serious and strong word, it's meaning etf isn't to be lost. So people only say it if they are dead Serious about you. Its mainly reserved for expression to your gf/bf spouse or very close family and close best friends. So for someone to suddenly out of the blue say I love you without any context. Makes people pay attention and get worried that maybe you had a very bad time ot got sick or in the hospital they assume something serious happened for you to say those words. Very rarely is it worry that you confessed to them regardless if they know your sexuality or not. If you observe Asians in the west goro your Chinatowns or Korea towns and watch how most of the people who are still very entrenched in traditional Asian culture look at you like you are crazy if you say i love you to them or use it as an expression that you really like something

I think it’s great to see more guys telling other guys I love you. It’s a saying that doesn’t get used a lot especially in Korea. I remember Big Bang saying that they actually started to say I love you in Korean after Daesungs accident/scandal because they realized that it was something that made them realize that life could be taken away in an instant.
