My theory for security breach is that Vanessa is actually Gregory's mum, HOWEVER, somehow she was cloned, and Gregory noticed this because the clone didn't know who he was. That's why he was hiding at the beginning because he knew that she was Vanny. Hence, the ending where Vanny is all broken and dead with the mask off looking like Vanessa and then the real Vanessa is looking down at her dead clone before going to get Gregory to take him home!
