Mainly because its trying to stop you freeing the mimic no matter what if it means killing you it will do (or probably sending distress signals not even knowing that the animatronics are hostile ) but in the end it kills you if you press no mainly trying to stop you letting out the mimic

MXES is not Glitchtrap or the Mimic, it is a security system designed to, as Gregory states, keep the Mimic hidden and trapped, it is like anti-glitchtrap. I think it’s good we have more characters, and it gives more context as to why he is aggressive, he is the good guy trying to stop us from freeing the villain, but he’s still dangerous.

I see a lot of people arguing, is M.X.E.S = Glitchtrap/MalHare. The answer is no, and the most damning piece of evidence, is the Vanny mask. At no point does the mask reboot. It just pairs with a new user. This outright confirms its not Afton. If it was, and we know Vannessa made the mask under Aftons control, Helpi wouldn't call M.X.E.S a "Foreign Entity." Hell its not even PURPLE, ITS BLUE. Colors are very important in this series, and thats one of the most damning pieces of evidence. Plus why would afton and the mimic go against eachother, if they want the same thing??? Hell the Mimic/Gregory outright calls it a "Security Protocol." If the Mimic knows what it does, that explains why they put a blocker in the Vanny mask, and why M.X.E.S puts up its blockers. Their trying to stop eachother. FUCK, HELPI WAS THE MOST DAMNING PIECE OF EVIDENCE HIMSELF. MatPat and Tom(I think thats him) out right call it out while they play the game, that Helpi gets more and more corrupted as time goes on. I'm fairly certain it's Glitchtrap/Afton. Remember that by now he no longer has Vanny under his control, as the Princess Quest ending is likely canon to Ruin, so by now Afton's main goal would be to consolidate his power and try to find a new host now that Vanny isn't around do finish his Burntrap body, and he can barely keep the PizzaPlex under his control. The Mimic would only hinder his goals by escaping, so he's keeping it at bay until he either finds a way to take control of it or can permanently get rid of it. The Entity isn't a good guy, just watching out for his own ambitions.

Despite seeing alot of people saying that The Entity is just a security system of the pizzaplex, I still believe otherwise. 1: when you first encounter it, HEPLI ( in his normal state, because of his blue eyes and no veins) will say “SYSTEM WARNING: Unknown entity has hijacked security protocols”. Stating that The Entity is not supposed to be here. Yes, the M.X.E.S is the security system, but I believe The Entity is using it for it’s own gain (like the mimic). 2: When it’s getting close to you, it will start doing a pose similar to Glitchtrap waving his hand in Help Wanted. 3: Also, it has the appearance of a evil purple bonnie, attacks the player, but everyone says “It’s just a security system”. This is Fnaf, theirs no way this is just a coincidence.

The entity (what people think is glitchtrap for some ungodly reason) is the M.X.E.S which keeps the mimic trapped, I personally believe that Roxy was a security node because that could lead into how you inevitably trap the mimic again somehow. The entity tried to get you when the M.X.E.S security was turned off because it was a digital blockade trying to stop you from releasing the mimic. Also The entity doesn't kill anyone it just summons the animatronics (THAT DO KILL YOU) to your location, There is zero Entity jumpscare.

Also it was confirmed in the books that mimic can compress itself so it can enter the body. Burntrap should not have that, burntrap should have bones of william afton inside, but look at the arms, legs and etc... It's literally belongs to mimic. Even glitchtrap who is literally first appearance of mimic in digital world uses purple color.
