What would happen if you turn off your car when you're driving at 100 km/h
or simply when you're driving?
In the worst of the cases, we don't have breaks, with no direction, obviously without power, etc. In this video, we are going to test it on a modern car, with all the technology in the 2020 model and in an old car, 1993 model.
First, we need to mention that in a 2020 car it turns on and off with a button, to turn it on you need press the pedal and press the button and to turn it off while in movement you need to press it twice if you press it once nothing happens (at least in this car) and in my surprise, what happens when it turns off? First, every electrical thing turns off, it's impossible to accelerate as no petrol is being injected, the breaks start getting more rigid like the direction, but the steering wheel doesn't get stuck at any moment, this is something that seemed very good to me, as I thought that it could get stuck and make it impossible to steer, in this aspect very good.
Now, the old car... will it do the same? We're gonna use the VW Vocho to do the test, we need to remember that the switch to turn it on has 3 positions, 1.-Off, 2.-Switch open, 3.-To change the speed, at the moment of the test I turned the key to the off position and to my surprise, it didn't block the direction, this car is nearly 30 years old, the steering wheel gets stuck if you remove the key at that moment the steering wheel gets stuck and you can't steer.
Thank you for seeing this video and I will see you in the next video about driving lessons so you can learn to drive from cero!
