The DGCA should follow the rest of aviation globally , type certified LSA aircraft are used globally for training towards commercial licences up to VFR day - so it boggles the mind that they are disadvantaging students . It’s essentially about the equipment onboard not the weight of the aircraft

It is not mentioned that it can be used. I will give an example. Dgca also doesn’t mention you cannot drive a car to get a cpl. That doesn’t mean i can drive a car to get a cpl.

Car and power aircraft are different altogether one is on the road one is in the sky , in future they also say Cessna is not applicable will it be justified my question is have they mentioned light sport aircraft is not allowed.

You are right sir, LSA is different from CESSNA in the same way. There is a reason why it’s classified as LSA.

It’s CFI question (FAA) ,airmen category and class is different , and aircraft category and class is different so , we always get licence on the basis of airmen category ( airplane ) , but DGCA has given in a different way , AIR REGULATION ,PERSONAL LICENSING PAGE NO-203. The meaning is same, and if its like that the big question is how the airplane instructors are allowed to give instructions in Light sport category aircraft , the whole loop is questionable.

Agreed sir, But in India, DGCA clearly mentioned LSA is meant for LSA LICENSE AND PPL. Not for CPL. This was a good discussion🙏
