Personally, I thought that Butters turned out pretty well in the Post Covid good timeline in which he’s living a good life as a newly promoted restaurant manager in his hometown surrounded by his close family and friends.

Butters has a nack for good service (dickenbaus) business ventures (kissing Company) and of course has good working relationships. Being a Dennys Manager is just growth for him and he definitely could venture out.

I think it’s really unfair to call Cartman “evil” for trying to protect his family at all costs. Literally any self-respecting dad would have done the same. The fuckers were literally trying to ruin his life in order to fix theirs. Sure, his methods showed that he’s still definitely the same person, but he changed for good regardless. He is CAPABLE of changing. Point being, for once, Cartman was 100% justified.

I don’t think he deserved it the future they were in prove that Cartman was capable of change and that the future that he ended up getting didn’t have to happen that’s why it’s so sad because you see both endings he is a loving family dad and the other that’s just so sad and bitter People always default to the worst one because they want to feel vindicated, but that’s not really the path people should be looking at

You make a very good point! I think Cartman’s future in particular is incredibly interesting because it’s divided into super awesome space traveller, happy family man, obese mechanic & homeless man - giving us the full range of Cartman

I honestly agree too. Anyone can change well almost anyone can change there are people who no matter what will never change. But cartman has changed he became a good man a family man who married a Jewish woman and had kids with her. Yeah his kids are just like him when he was a kid, but I kind of feel like it might be genetics but for cartman though not sure really. There’s no defending the things he has ever done but he changed. He’s friends or Kyle ended up kind of like cartman in a way. He hated cartman and thought it was all a hoax but cartman did change. I feel like there should have been another future where kyle was the one who got he’s life ruined because of what he was trying to do. This is all my own thoughts and opinions.

In the episode with the fake future selves, the only real one was the savy in shape businessman Cartman, who completely changed his life to live healthy. Then the other version he turns into when Eric denies that future self. Then we get the special version of future Cartman, the devout Jewish family man, who's life gets ruined by more time travel when the guys undo their mistakes, ruining Eric's future. Unfortunately, in one timeline, Eric got happy and clean and that got wiped away early. Then his next chance at happiness was when everyone else was miserable. The only one in the special who had a good future out of the main 4 was Cartman. Afterwards it was the opposite.

I find it heartbreaking that there's proof that he can be redeemable, and it's always ripped from him. Cartman being a good guy in the future proves that he could have been good all along, but his mother spoils him to keep him as a friend (go back to "Tsst"). Cartman having a wife proves that he could have been in a healthy relationship with Heidi, but Butters rubbed his negative emotions onto him, gave him bad advice and put doubt into his mind, causing Cartman to turn against Heidi (yes, if you look back at the episodes "Oh Jeez" and "Not Funny", you'll see that it was *Butters* who starting everything that caused Heidi x Cartman to have a toxic downfall). This was my breaking point. Cartman pretty much just sacrificed everything he had so his buddies could be happy. I have cried about four times after I found out about Cartman becoming homeless (this may have to do with the fact that he also happens to be my favorite character). The plot where the Cartmans live in a hotdog hits harder when you realize it was written that way so Cartman's bad future makes sense. 😢
