My mom overdosed on opioids. She was napping and my sister woke up and went to check up on her and she was just leaned over dead. It caused my sister to go into panic and she got addicted herself. Its insane how crazy drugs can affect you. People need tp understand that addiction is an illness and that sometimes they just physically can not help it. Thanks for the wonderful explaining man. Hopefully more people will start to understand how insane addiction really is.

I'd think it makes more sense to not put them ob acid but maybe a high dose of benzos. and from time to time give rhen injection with a stimulant (that is not euphoric). I think the problem is education. Mamy people do hard drugs because they're misinformed about the safe ones. The DARE program has taught kids that all street drugs are bad for decades. Speaking from experience, a LSD trip is greatly affected from the start by the users outlook and mental status when initially taking a dose. If you start your “trip” thinking positively and enthusiastically it seems that you always have a good trip and don’t experience anything bad. However, if you’re nervous and stressed out about having a bad trip and are mentally playing out bad scenarios in your head then it seems like you’ll always have a bad trip. I never had a bad trip but know people that were scared and freaking out about what they would experience when they took LSD and they ended up having a bad experience. Like it is with a lot of drugs your mind and expectations going into it has a huge impact on the experience.

Not the original poster, but yes, albeit to an extent. Like the video alluded to, if you got some demons (major cognitive dissonance, conflicts with self/family/etc., psychological trauma, and the like) locked away in your subconscious, LSD can--and in many cases will--open these doors, and willing or not, force you to confront them (or at the very least acknowledge them). Yes, in such cases, this will likely result in what one will call a "bad trip", but overall the experience is generally therapeutic/beneficial to one's psyche as a whole, when implemented under controlled conditions.

Fun_Dips agreed. It’s been 20 years since I last even saw LSD but it always was a fun experience. I did know one person that completely went nuts and has never been the same the very first and only time they did it. Literally ended up in a mental institution for a while but they weren’t exactly known as being mentally stable going into it. A persons chemistry and mental stability can obviously have a huge affect on the experience as well. I did my experimenting in high school back in the early 90’s when LSD was probably half as strong as it was in the 60’s and 70’s. I can’t imagine what it was like in those days.

My "real" first time smoking cannabis (the first one I gave a little smoke only), I cried my guts out. Before smoking, I knew that I needed to. When I did, I had the most amazing experience ever. I cried until I could barely breath. I don't think that there was a particular reason. I process everything, so I always feel overloaded (and considering the fact that I'm ssooo sensitive, worse, bc there's a tremendous daily effort to control emotions and to "man up"). After I cried I felt so relieved, and I spent the next days in peace, it was amazing. From that time (almost 2 months ago) I smoked one more time, and almost cried again, but there wasn't to much to cry, I guess. So yes, therapeutic. For people who considered themselves to be "emotionally dense", go for it once. But don't get addicted! That feeling of peace is amazing, I know, and can be tempting to feel like that all the time, but being "conscient" and aware is always the best way to live, even if that means anxiety, and etc. (sorry for my English)

I was in the hospital for a few weeks back in the 90's and was given IV fentanyl. And they had to have someone basically sit in the room with me and remind me to breathe for a while after injection, because I would literally get so relaxed I just sort of...stopped breathing. And didn't even notice.
