Some golf balls that go in the lakes are actually very high quality. They remain that way for a good while too! Don’t see the stigma in using recovered balls. Especially if you are just starting out with a high handicap and prone to bad shots.
@shakebooty4 жыл бұрын
If the person is a high handicap and prone to bad shots, they most definitely should get used balls
@vika01944 жыл бұрын
That’s the point. You say ”some” which means some are also damaged or bad quality. And when you buy those mystery bags or packs you don’t know what you will get. Some times grade A are actually grade B or C.
@RaijinKaze4 жыл бұрын
Victor It depends on where you buy them from. Either way a High handicap player wont notice a very big improvement in their game based off ball quality. It’s better to lose a grade B or C ball to bad shots than a grade A. It saves you so much money in the long run.
@zdynamogaming18544 жыл бұрын
The only issue is that these many different variables when using used balls because they only sort them by brand. So you end up hitting the same brand ball differently because one is alot older than the other and not in as good shape. Your better off to go to Walmart and pay 5 bucks for 12 balls and then you get used to hitting those so that you cut out a lot of variables

When I was kid, we lived next to a 9 hole public. I used to go into the ponds at night with a buddy and pick up golf balls by feeling around using our feet. We would sell them back to the golfers thru the fence. We had a good little thing going for a while. Who knew we were ahead of our time!

I had a very long layoff from golf due to knee osteoarthritis. When I had both knees replaced last year my surgeon gave me the green light to start playing. I have been taking weekly lessons since May and just treated myself to a full set of Callaway golf clubs. So, having not played in years and having the most up to date clubs, I no longer know how far I hit each of them and need to come up with a yardage book. I am buying a launch monitor which calculates the distance the balls fly with each club. I want to be sure that the launch monitor collects measurements from relatively new ball of the same exact type I will play with. I bought mint condition golf balls to collect my data from. I also got a dozen premium balls in mint condition that are totally sold out as new right now. I'm getting to try them at a highly discounted price and they are in perfect condition!

I'm a member of a golf club down here in Colombia. The courses here can be challenging since mine borders a jungle and make it damn near impossible to find your ball if you hit it out of bounds. There are some old timers who search through the bamboos and sell them back for about 50 cents a piece. You can buy a bag of 20 right on the course for about ten bucks.
