Para hammer is really good solo. I can consistently get one para and ko, making the last 1/4 to 1/3 of a monster's hp get melted for free. The fact that para/stun don't override each other like in mainline Monster Hunter means they will often be locked in place for a comical amount of time.

@@warenwolf_17 I mostly focus on defensive options like divine blessing and health boost, plus lock on to magnetize the bonk stick to the monsters head. I’ve tried using some para attack but in practice I don’t get more than one para even with it, so it just makes it proc a little earlier

Para and stun both get cancelled when a monster part breaks. So that makes it useless in this game

I realized very early in the game, around 2-3 star monsters, that it’s best to prioritize one generic build because mats are super scarce. Early game Zenny doesn’t mean anything but it’s all the harvest items that’s a problem since I don’t live anywhere near poi’s. Paralysis is just my go to and seems like yours as well. I personally don’t like playing meta or optimal but with the given time and mat restrictions, it’s hard to play a grindy game so liberally when you’re constantly fighting RNG. It’s still fun but it’s a bit harder to play whatever you’d like because of said limitations.

the mat scarcity is so rough. ive spent 1-2 hours outside multiple times and barely got anything to show for it. mostly been playing while going to school and back, which lets me hunt around 10-30 on the way. and ive been bottlenecked so hard on getting my weapons to rarity 5 because they just refuse to drop some mats.

5:29 mainlines breaks and knockdowns always do this stuff. "yipee about to do my ls finisher" > first hit breaks head, stagger, second hit WHIFF (the charged slash of ls in sunbreak for context). Have enjoyed my time despite being in NOT a populated area with a node every 5 steps, but the game really, REALLY chugs in Australia.

I already noticed the hp scaling when playing multiplayer since the release of the game because I can kill them easier when I'm solo than when with somebody. As for the variety, I don't have a problem with it. I started with paralysis hammer early on but when I had a hard time dealing with urgent Legiana, I immediately created the Anja bow. Then everything goes smoothly. I realized that it's a lot easier for me to get other materials from various monsters if atleast I made elementals to create or upgrade another one. I upgraded my Jagras SnS to Grade 5 so I can easily hunt materials for my Tobi and Anja bow. Then using the Tobi bow to beat Rathalos, Rathian and all the monsters weak to it. So far all my weapons are on Grade 5 Lv. 5. I have Jagras SnS, Girros Hammer, Kulu LS, Tobi Bow, Anja Bow, Diablos Bow, Lumu SnS for my divine blessing build. The latest addition is my Jagras LBG at Grade 4 Lv. 5.

@Venitas What you are saying is not true. Neither MHW nor MHRise had higher damage on Para. So it was actually a surprise to see this implemented in MHNow given how heavily inspired this game is by MHW and that para didnt increase damage since 2018

I actually went in the opposite direction in terms of sets, I went full atk and crits with rising tide and if I just don't get hit I don't ever have worry about health but if I do get hit I have fortify so monsters will get cleared yes or yes. I've been using full sns with element, no para even tho it's crafted and upgraded. My current set is rath helm, chest, rathian arms, jagras waist, and kulu legs. So far I've been doing so good I'm now saving first aid meds to the point I can't waste 5 before the day ends most times so I'm usually at 15 first aid meds(10 in storage and 5 for claiming)

I use your armor set for Divine Blessing and I'm leveling with me the elemental greatswords, having no problem at all against 6 star monsters (except when the weapon is slightly underleveled because legianas are scarce and don't drop claws for me). Tried para and such but you don't get enough hits in during the para to compensate how much extra damage elemental greatswords do, I feel. My fiance uses the Girros hammer and that is a good combo though, because knockout + para is great for a weapon that benefits from aggro getting pulled as much as the greatswords do. Your videos are a great help! Hope you have fun.

Whoaaaa, guess i'll start building some Para SNS then , been playing 4 elements since the start of global release game. Got me -Fire set : Anja LS + Fire Attack Lv.5 -Water set : Jyura LS + Water attack lv.5 -Ice set : Legiana LS + Icet Attack LV 3 (This ice set Divine Blessing crazy - Lv.5 - tho it's more like Divine Scam for me , rarely proc) -Thunder set : Tobi LS + Thunder Attack Lv.3 The output damage is indeed huge , and combined with Pink Rathian shoes (Special Boost lv.2) + Rathalos chestpiece (Weakness Exploit lv.2) make your damage even greater The sad thing is , we can't increase Ice and Thunder attack to level 5 for now. Not until Banbaro and Zinogre released into game, hope the LS don't differ that much, and the Fire/Water set don't have Lock-On in it, i do regret didnt farm Black Diablos that much , so i don't have B.Diablos coil (I still undergeared back then duh , damn you Niantic releasing hard monster too soon) Why i choose Anjanath LS over Rathalos LS ? Anja have Rising Tide which is a good boost for long time battle , the damage gap on G10L5 on Anja VS Rath is 191 , which i think coverable with Rising Tide

Atm I'm using Rathian Grade 5 (final upgrade at this point) Bow and I feel like it's destroying 5 star monsters, even 6 star monsters are relatively easy. Takes a little time but especially with perfect timed dodges it's absolutely doable and fun.

I'm usually a status hunter with sleep or paralysis in the mainline games. I made the Pukei SnS because he's easy to farm and I hadn't mained a poison weapon before. Just unlocked 8 star monsters now. 7 star urgent diablos was tough solo with my rarity 7 lv5 poison SnS and armor being ratholos head and chest, rathian arms and waist, anjanath legs all these armor pieces were lv6 to have their skills unlocked. I ran out of time but my 2nd special attack was still attacking and it died and the quest was complete. My SnS couldn't be leveled up to rarity 8 without 8 star monster parts so I had to pray for lots of crits or I would need to upgrade my paralysis SnS more. Just got it to rarity 6. Pink rathian has higher raw attack for SnS poison. Maybe I will grind for that when pink rathian becomes a main stay in december. Once I completely max out my SnS then I can make a set for the other weapons I main. (Which is all but GL, IG and CB but those aren't in MHNow anyway yet)

am currently playing Bow when am solo but when am with party, am using Girros as it really helps with the DPS, my armor set is mixed of survivability and damage. Los-Jagras-Bar-Bar-Ian, having guard+3 can block everything with no damage so I can drop the DB. and am just tanking and providing para for the team. am excited to see a sleep build next time. when barrel bombs come in and a heroic GS TCA. GG that's a lot of damage ahahah

i was using paralys SNS til grade 3 then i slowly grinded 3 elemental bows and armor set focusing on focus skill, also 1 elementl LBG with armor for reload and recoil. i made diablos hammer as a allrounder weapon, but i use it mostly for fun coz i main hammers in MH games and i love them (also i love lances and cant wait to play lance in MHN), but hammer is much more dengarous than bows and LGB - so for farming im using ranged weapons for health efficency. im on 48HR and curently stopped at 6stars quest to farm all those bows xDD

i love hammers and i would start with them but i knew that barroth hammer is weaker than diablos hammer so i didnt want to farm weapon that i know i will drop later for diabloss hammer, so i farmed 4 other weapons to get to the diablos hammer xD but as i said above - bows are god for safe play and farming, also they are strong, but hammer is much more fun and epic :D btw - armor for bow with focus skill is also nice for hammer so at least here i dont need to farm more things xD

Para SnS is incredibly stable for clearing content. I've got the grade 6 and I can solo any 6 star with enough focus. When partying with randos, the para keeps them alive and makes sure the fight is cleared unless the others leave or bring ranged and drag the monster all over the place.

I use the Diablos Bow all the way, I'm 7* Monster now and have no Problem with my Weakness-Exploit, Attackboost, Konzentration, Fokus, Divine Blessing Mixset. My Bow is at 6 5/5 in the moment :) i slowly build up Elemental Bows as well, but their feel so much less dmg every single time, so that I use at 95% of the time the Diablos Bow

Have to say that, if you're going with the one weapon upgrade path, that the pukei poison weapon seems a lot stronger than the paralysis one. I had a lot of trouble progressing with your build that had girros sns but pukei has carried me through 7 star with no issue.

Paralysis is great but I prefer elemental hammers. The damage is great and gives you a larger cushion to win if things go wrong. Switched off Divine Blessing to an attack focused build, makes it easier to blow up 4 and 5 stars quickly so I don't even need to worry about being hit.

We have Pokémon Go group chat, some of them (including me) are playing MH Now. So we make MH Now group chat and calling other hunter when we see a group of target monster (usually rathalos and legiana, currently pink rathian) and hunt together. As we live across the city, it feel like we are scouting the monster and gather around to hunt the monster. Feel like a real hunter. Unlike Pokémon Go, the monster stay for 3 hours so we have enough time to prepare and gather the hunter

Liked the use of the Yu Gi Oh Duel Music xd. Personally I've been trying to use Greatsword, but rank and monster rating began to outscale my ability to get Girros materials (and Materials in general). Kinda stuck in using Longsword because its the most consistent (shocker). That and, taking damage by Shoulder Bashing doesn't feel worth it in the fast-pace limited potion system sometimes. :(

I'm using slugger 3 ,firm foothold2 , partbreaker 1 ,lock on and burst lvl 1 with "my lady's fist" grade 7.3 hammer . If it's a 6* I'm getting 1-2 stun and one para If it's 7* I feel confident in 2 ko and 2 para. The hammer does great for stacking Para solo

Hit a wall at sns grade 7 ..can’t get grade 8 paralyze wep,since its cap upgrade lock for parts from 8 ⭐️..so had to ditched defensive mode of divine blessing to dps and damage armor to get enough damage to do urgent 6-7⭐️ so it was tough and challenging. I’m at 6* monsters now and been using the pukei bow, I’ve kind of hit a wall with upgrading it since 6* monsters are kind of rare and the rarity 5 material is even rarer. Since I’ve been waiting to get one more r5 material for the pukei now I’ve been leveling up my elemental bows to 5/5 and crafting some of the elemental damage armors. I feel like spending those resources is sort of “future-proof” anyway since I’ll need it all down the line and now that I’m on 6* monsters I feel like I’m in a good spot to just chill (getting the refining mats from dailies and r5 mats from monsters) and enjoy where I’m at for awhile. I think r6 mats don’t drop until like 8* anyway so no need to push myself to a point where my palico starts marking unkillable monsters lol. Tl;dr rarity 5 mats are rare enough that unless you’re very lucky you can just upgrade the elemental weapons to catch up at grade 5 anyway

good video. I also play the para SaS most of the time, since its my furthest upgraged weapon. I started forging Longswords a week ago, because i felt like SaS gets kinda boring after some time. And i never really played SaS in any Monster Hunter Game anyway, im more of a dual blades enjoyer, so i hope they will add some more weapons soon. I have now all my SaS Elemental Weapons upgraded to tier 4. Im just giga stuck on some upgrades because i have to walk 20 minutes to a collection point. I dont like the fact that you can only collect certain items on these stops. Anyway i still enjoy the game, but i really hope they reward people more for walking around, like i love the fact that i can walk threw the forest and actually find still alot of monster, compared to Pokemon GO, if you dont live in a City u simply cant really play the game.

But yeah, after struggling early game with non elemental weapons I tried crafting elemental sns and I struggle much less. Ice element is still a problem though, legiana are pretty rare compared to everything else

the thing is this game become such a speedrun game because such a small time frame for every each of fight. every second wasted for either blocking or dodging is a loss. that is why para or K.O is very effective because you don't need to waste time and focus on damage output. then there is extra 10% which is not much but it is something.

i started with sns and switched to longsword because longsword felt a lot better for soloing. but longsword is more punishing when you miss a counter. the game is definitely really grindu due to the pokemon go formula making the grind super random. the fact tht even you guys are saying its grindu says a lot. honestly i feel like this game is less fun for solo or casual players
