Yeah I can't imagine surviving on £600 a month. That's less than half of what you'd get if you worked a minimum wage job full time! I assume she gets some kind of benefit top up otherwise she'd never survive! I'd call that skint, you don't have to look homeless to be broke.

She works 2 jobs and her son works too. Supposing she was on minimum wage. To be earning £600pm she'd have to be working 68 hours a month or 17 hours a week. For her to be earning less than that then she'd have to be working less than 17 hours a week. So

Some of the things I heard did make me chuckle though with my two favourites being: _I think this is the first time I've seen a single mum up close._ _Go give them hope._

I find it so interesting how rich people head down to average homes and consider it as like a cultural exchange. I mean they view seeing how working class citizens live in the UK the same way as we view charity and seeing how people in third world countries live. It's fun thinking about how these things work isn't it? We think these rich people have no concept of what it's like to be broke and to have to work hard to get little in return, but there are those far less fortunate than us who are probably thinking the same thing about us. It's things like this TV show that show us that we should be grateful for everything we have. The wealthy, the middle class, working class and people worse off. There's always someone more downtrodden than you, so appreciate your luxuries and what it took to get them.
