Just like with the Russians, I'm doing another no tracks battlegroup this time with the Americans. Whilst the Americans do have worse infantry overall they do have better quality in their wheeled support units.

Broken Arrow probably made Eugen a pretty penny with this beta. Since no one could buy/preorder Broken Arrow when the beta ended, they really only had Eugen games to turn to scratch any itch left behind. Also, Warno went on sale at the end of the BA beta lol I know the Warno multiplayer population skyrocketed and is still peaking well above what it was prior.

I bought warno for this reason, tried 1v1 and got absolutely stomped by people who have probably 1k+ hours in Eugen games, I've decided I am definitely not getting into that scene ever

I actually downloaded World in Conflict as a result of this. I had bounced off of Wargame Red Dragon in the past but something about this format scratches the itch where Eugen games do not.

@@GophTheGreat I agree that the Eugen games are not the same scratch. It is hard to quantify exactly what is different that feels so much better. I think it is many things that BA changed for the purpose of gameplay experience, but while still resembling the Eugen wargame presentation. One thing I have become very aware of since the beta ended is how ridiculous Warno casts/commentary/discussions sound. .."His QRST's UVWX got a hit on that GHIJ!" While in BA, a decent number of the units have nicknames (i.e. Marine Raiders or ARMATA), or their abbreviations are pronounceable as a short word. I think that detail on its own is so valuable for someone to feel like they are hopping on and playing a game rather than opening a textbook glossary. Also the UI. I can see the symbol of a unit, and know which unit that is after only 1 game, but, in warno, many units have the same symbol. Don't get me wrong, there's still plenty of abbreviations you can't use English to avoid with the RU, but, if you compare the unit rosters for vehicles, Warno's mostly start with an alphanumeric code.. Except maybe aircraft.. those are almost pure letter number combinations lol

@gomensnana9169 For me I think it's partially what you said, partially the fidelity which is more "intimate" than Wargame, partially the quality (the sound design here is *leagues* above Warno), and honestly above all else is the fact that units eventually respawn. BA was so much friendlier to my newb ass and the demo mission actually did a good job of introducing me to the systems and units by giving me a scripted puzzle to solve right off the bat (kill the tank without your own tank!) instead of forcing me to defend all of South Korea with seventeen full decks of random units that I had no context for, which was my introduction to Wargame: Red Dragon.

Once again this is previous footage from the recent multiplayer Beta! I do not still have access. Side note: I didn't realise at the time but income reduction upon purchasing units is based on the total amount of worth in your deck, so I actually made this and the previous game even harder by not filling out my tabs! A challenge is a challenge!

Pretty sure your air took out their units at the start on that helo. The moment you took those high rise bldgs with no Arty fire.. That side is a win already. You can tell they dont have much recon on your side. never knew you could pick up supplies once deployed. I had a match on this map where the enemy will push with inf, just keep throwing cruise missiles at my infantry and hits me with rocket arty for counter battery and taking out vehicles..

If they was Govt Sim Style game Plus This type of War Gameplay mechanic where u can influence geopolitics nd do what america or russia does in real life. That would be very cool thing to see

Always wanted to try one of these battles, but on the smallest map, because I want to try it with infantry only, no armored units, no aircraft, no helicopters, no vehicles except maybe trucks to transport the infantry units and transport supplies to the infantry, other then that, NO vehicles of any kind. Might be better to do it on Warno.

You should do a full air force match you only rock air units and have one infantry and a tank unit for that round

Oof, the UI here is super rough. How do you feel about the game overall? I never got to try it but my friends who were in on the beta said it was an awkward/clumsy thing.

I wonder, is there any way to play air only, like in the Supreme Commander? BTW, it seems like overall quality of players in BA is not very high right now. You're just mowing down anyone who's against you 😂

sure its a easy addition, SC2 was great for that as AI abused nukes and arty, turning them off changed the game, I personally wouldnt play air only but i see why some would.
