I remember the other day I caused a voidout and the ENTIRE area where the abandoned shelter is situated was gone. I reloaded the save back so it was still there but it’s good to know that these events only last about 30 mins in-game.

@@Piks_LDN I had my first voidout in Chapter 2 in the rocky terrains east of Port Knot City. It stayed until the endgame when I had to deliver Cryptobiotes for Fragile. The crater went away as a large BT appeared in that place during my return.

@@Piks_LDN perhaps because I left the area before 30 minutes have passed in Chapter 2? So maybe the map unloaded and that's why the crater didn't disappear.

I almost caused a voidout by mistake, i had knocked out a bunch of mules during a delivery andnthey remained uncon for quite some time , in the process of me passing back and forth i mustve killed one. Only reason i k ew is bc BB wouldnt stop crying, he was screaming and there was no timefall and i was crusing in the truck. So i went back and sure enough dude was turning necro

My void out was still there when I came back. A day later. But it still, it looked so cool. I was expecting a little small hole but I saw a moon size meteor crater. I had to take a screenshot because it looked so awesome. I was like “ damn I did that.!

At Launch nobody knew what to expect of this game with its cryptic marketing once it settled in the player that DS is a walking simulator you where either going to love the game or hate it

So, I've JUST started playing this about a week ago and having avoided watching anybody else's gameplay videos and only seeing the marketing I couldn't be more in agreement with your statement. Was really skeptical at first (I only bought it because it was cheap too) but started getting less and less so as I played more of the game. Then I hit the "Unger" chapter...all skepticism was blown out of the water and I was fully committed. Damn what a game. It's like MGS Phantom Pain had a baby with Days Gone and Fallout and that baby got trapped on the Beach. 🤣🤣

@@AndyMillz i agree and the "likes from BT" when you kill them with the umbilical cut is clearly the way they prefer. I also went in one time with assault rifles and grenades blazing, and it upsets Lou, but the handcuff method keeps Lou from getting autotoxemic. the BTs are not hostile, they are just tied to the world of the living. the bosses, the squid whales and squid lions and so forth, they're the hostile ones.

I took the time the other day to waste an entire camp (the first super hostile ones that try to actually kill you by North Distro) and took the time to body bag all of em and take them to the close by incineration center and burned em all hoping the game was smart enough to to actually keep them dead but nope, next time I drove by there they were all there again.

They don't disappear forver. They always respawn

You can drop them off like at the distro center or other destinations and continue with the game however if you do a few corpse drop off like that diehardman will eventually start going all potty mouth on you.

Easy, voidouts either caused by not taking a corpse to the incinerator or getting killed by a BT boss in BT territory

Nah, if you don't burn the corpse it will just turn into a BT and to cause a void out that BT will have to eat a living human

I died a couple times in the early game in East Region, and the craters stayed there, when I came back to East Region in the endgame, many hours later they were still there. They were still there in the post-endgame when I arrived back East to finish my platinum. but they healed up after I was in there awhile doing deliveries.

I find the Seam to be so peaceful. Both sets of Seam music, the lighting, I like to believe the water is both warm and breathable. IMO, the Seam would be a perfect place to relax and recharge if I was in a coma or something.

The large pouch is only twice the size one small pouch but holds three times the ammo. You can still fit a battery on there if you arrange your pack right.

Can a area be permanently cleared of bts, just wondering, wanted to try it but if someone has I wouldnt mind knowing first, also has anyone ran into a giant bt just floating around lol I did made me jump to

You can’t clear an area permanently, even voidouts cause a different type of BTs to show up. I have a video on a huge BT if you want to check it out.

@@AndyMillz yea kinda went and experimented, you can clear a area and it will stay cleared for a while unless you kill the boss then giv it like 15 to 20 min and it starts raining again lol, the big bt I was wondering about killed it seemed like a boss but was just sitting there, wasn't hard to kill

There’s a massive one in the hot springs area that gives more crystals than the others when killed.

8:13 in game thirty minutes? Does sleeping in a private room counts as skipping time? Or do I have to just idle outside and wait for them to respawn?

If you voidout during your playthrough, the crater stays. Permanently. Learned this the hard way on my first play through, and it inspired my second playthrough to not cause any voidouts. When it comes to Mules, if you are not progressing the story of the game, or likewise "waiting for the president's inauguration" then knocking out Mules will knock them out for about 2 hours, and yes resting at a timefall shelter or sleeping in a private room speeds this up. Likewise if you are in a state of not progressing the game's story, or "waiting for the president's inauguration", going through a BT area and cutting the cord of every gazer will clear that area of BTs permanently. Timefall will still be present, but BTs won't respawn. Again this isn't true if you are still playing through the story. Certain missions in the story "refresh" the game world so to speak. For example you go knock out every mule at a camp, and then go take on an order to retrieve stolen cargo from that exact camp. Upon your return where you not 5 minutes ago knocked out the entire camp, they are now back on their feet like nothing happened, yet all their cargo is still where their bodies had been when I knocked them out. The same thing happens with BT areas. Certain orders will cause specific BT areas to timefall or not timefall, so you are unable to truly clear BT areas until the very end.

@@v__R4Z0R__v I think so. I personally only cleared two BT areas after finishing the story. The area near the incinerator in the eastern region, and the BT area between the Ludens Fan and Disto Center. It was the first thing I did after beating the game, and after about another 20 hours of playtime, I never once saw BTs in those areas again. My belief is that this would apply to any area that you cut every BT cord in.
