If you live in Bengaluru, the city's mobile patrol vehicles, the Hoysalas are hard to miss. Hoysalas take their name from the 12th century Kannada kingdom that ruled most of present day Karnataka.
Legend has it that a young man named Sala, was urged to strike down a tiger when his guru exhorted him: Hoy Sala, or Strike Sala.
Sala, according to this legend, went on to found the dynasty.
Today, the Hoysalas are the first responders of Bengaluru police. In March, the Bengaluru city police commissioner, B Dayanada took some drastic steps to increase the effectiveness of the Hoysalas. The aim is to reduce the average response time of Hoysalas to 7-8 minutes.
To verify the claim of the police commissioner, DH spent a night with the Hoysala team. Watch the video to see the Hoysalas in action

Great to see Bangalore doing this Bombay on the other hand is a different story.They normally don’t even answer the call, when they do they only understand Marathi and are absolute garbage in communication, you need to tell them what the closest police station is and then they may move forward. It’s just sad to see such things happen. This one time I called 100 (Mumbai’s helpline number) and no one picked up, I got a call after 5 minutes from a spam number which was tagged as Bajaj FinServ or something (basically some cold call number) and the lady asked me if I had called the Police.They have outsourced this to a call station ?!?! Hoping someone does something before things get out of hand again.

India seriously needs to bring about massive reforms and modernisation of the police forces and build a force that a real emerging superpower must have. Looking at the current state of the police forces, bragging that India is a future superpower is so laughable. If the police are not fixed as fast as possible, movements to abolish the police may rise. Watch and learn from Dubai police how a modern police force should be like.

I don't think the Hoysala is usefull, Recently a gold chain was stolen from a Janapriya Bharat conclave, there were only husband and wife in the house, both of them were senior citizens and do not have any children. My friend who knew them called me and asked me to go to the apartment as my friend was out of station. When I reached their home they explained what has happened and told that they have a doubt on house maid. We called Hoysala as both of them were senior citizens and can't walk or come to police station to give complaint. The Hoysala came in 15 to 20 min, they asked what as happened and noted down it in a dairy and asked us to go to police station and register complaint, If a senior citizen with health issues have to go to police station to register complaint, then why we need Hoysala?

I had given complaint on 50+ two wheelers doing wheeling and causing so much of rash and negligence driving and causing issues for other transport vehicles on Nh75, hoskote to kr puram there was a around 50+ bikes doing wheeling on both lane in front of Avalahalli police station and sound of broken silencers were heard in the stations, but the police asked where is this act going on😂😂😂 pathetic the rules seems not to be applicable to certain set of people😅😅

We really appreciate what Bangalore police are doing but these isn’t enough we fell, now a days girls are not all felling safe to travel in auto and cabs even if it’s still 10pm, my friend very recently had these issues she had taken an auto at 9.30 pm he was very unsafe and even asked her number. If I say there are lot which I have heard in even bad than these but it’s no use no one cares, I have noticed my self in nights the auto details which will be stuck inside the auto will not match the driver who’s driving , especially night some idiots rogues take autos of there friends or fathers he wont even have license he will drive drunk and mis behaviour with ladies. Why can’t cops do everyday random checks on auto and see if everything is correct with the driver if they do these obviously auto drivers will be scared when driving where cops will be there and would check, coming to next is eve teaser who stand near college and PG and tease girls when they see cops they will hide, especially near Ramiah college where students study and work willl come to there PG at 11 and all loafers will be drunk and teasing misbehaving with girls. Cops can come in colour dress and see only then they catch hold of them, there are many cases like these where we feel un secure to send our sisters and mothers out and coz of these fear we are pulling out there freedom life to. I think cops would really look into these issues and carry on action so next time any even thinks of doing mistake will fear

I have called 112 they do nothing the police person tell me he is in Whitefield that I need to tell him my location ( yes you heard it right they don’t even know your location ) and after telling my location he is like there is too much traffic I can’t come anyways you are not in the line of fire so please just go home . I'm sorry you had a bad experience. But I'd once reported a case of domestic abuse and they were present at the location in under 15 minutes. So yeah, they work. Just because it didn't work in a handful of cases, doesn't mean they're useless.
