Do you really think Purgatory exists? What did Jesus promise the other person when they were both dying on the Cross that day? Did He promise to be with him in paradise after 40 days in Purgatory (a place of custody/waiting) or did he promise to be with him in paradise that day? Please read Luke 23:43. I am still waiting to see a Bible verse that talks about purgatory or a place of waiting for 40 days. People should read the Holy Bible with the help of the Holy Spirit. They should read it slowly, repeatedly, and attentively. People need to ask the almighty God to fill and baptize them with the Holy Spirit before they can read the Holy Bible and to help them maintain their relationship with the Almighty God.

Do you mean if you died a sinner, your folks on earth could still pray for your sins to be forgiveness while you are waiting for 40 days in a "place of waiting (some call it purgatory)" and then you will go to paradise just like that (while you ignored or even refused to repent and be born again when you were still on earth)? Could you please provide a Bible verse that says that people go to a place of waiting/custody immediately when they die and people on earth can pray for their forgiveness so that they can be able to enter Paradise? What did the Lord Jesus Christ die for on the Cross? Are you saying that there is forgiveness after your flesh has left the body? What makes people sin, is it the flesh or the soul? If it's the flesh, that means forgiveness of sin can only occur when a person's soul is still inside their body/flesh. That is, forgiveness can only occur when you are still alive here on earth. You have to learn to overcome sin and control your body/flesh while your soul is still in your body. There is NO forgiveness once your soul has left your body. Seek forgiveness and repent now when your soul is still in your body. Only those who have repented and are born again will enter the Kingdom of God. Ask the almighty God to fill and baptize you with the Almighty Holy Spirit to help you maintain your relationship with the Almighty God. Let the Holy Spirit take total control of your life.

Some elements of this teaching are right but not all. You erred when you said people can be prayed for for 40 days after they die. It has no biblical bassis. In fact the rich man answered this correctly. He said send someone to go and tell my brothers not to come here. Abraham didn't even suggest prayers. In fact if that were the case, it would mean rich men can bribe their way into heaven. All they need do is leave behind an amount of money for people to pray for them. It is appointed unto a man once to die, after that is judgement.
