I like that the prestige system is back like it was. The camo challenges seem pretty light. You used to have to get 100 headshots, 100 kills, 100 prone, etc. to get them all. This seems like it will go pretty quickly.

I'd say this is an okay compromise between the more recent and the old camo system, but I think I'm gonna miss how much freedom we had being able to put any camo on any gun at any time and how every gun had a lot of unique ones. Would nice if the special camos could be put on any gun at anytime at least.

Honestly, the progression system in BO6 is what I totally look forward the most. All the 10 prestige levels and the grind to level 1000 will always be my goal, which means no breaks and whenever I have other priorities like getting school work done or chores around my house to work on, I can always hop on my PlayStation and spending at least 4 to 6 hours a day and sometimes 8 hours during double XP events. In my opinion, the upcoming game will be the biggest year in Call of Duty history.

I’m so unbelievably pumped for proper progression in COD again. I loved MW3, but even though this shouldn’t matter because I was having fun, it’s been so incredibly frustrating to put a shit ton of play time in launch window just to be capped at level 55. Challenges and Badges are also just such a fun way to encourage new playstyles. Only downside for Microsoft is I doubt I’ll be buying another COD for a while given how much there is for me to unlock here

I feel like the blueprints thing is fine, given the inclusion of unlock tokens, and prestige. Unlock your most wanted kit, or don't prestige, and you're on the same page as people who pay to unlock blueprints.

If you need good guns to get fast after your unlocks reset I recommend to lvl up the AK47, Tanto, GPR 91 which is really good lvl up and PP919 so you’ll have good attachments when you unlock these guns again, each gun has a a few levels apart

I loved that feature.. It was based off accolades too. As a sniper, I could see who had the most "one shot one kill" medals in the lobby based on world ranking. I was ranked 138 at one point. I went up 2 ppl ranked top 40 and top 25 in the same game on Bakara. It was a quick scope fest the entire domination game. Such a dope experience!

So love that they brought back the OG prestige system. I think sadly I’m going to avoid it though, unless there are advantageous gameplay unlocks behind the system. Have to see on that, but if in any way the prestige system influences SBMM, I want to avoid it. I was barely convinced to buy this game, mostly because I just want to play with my buddies who are all getting it. SBMM by itself has ruined many of the recent CODs for me, because it feels like whenever I would hop on with some time to play, I’d get one, maybe two games of mixed lobbies before getting thrown into the fire. I’m a 3 to 5 kd player on average, so I know it’s coming for me. I don’t play these games to sweat anymore, those days are behind me, and while it might seem like I’d rather play against lower skilled players, I really honestly don’t. I want to play truly random, mixed lobbies like we used to. Gameplay then was so much more enjoyable because one game you would go off, and then the next you would face a challenge. These last few years, I knew each time I booted the game up, I knew that within a game or two, I’d have to really turn it on. That is just such a drag for my long term enjoyable and the overall playability of the game. I know I’m FAR from alone on that, too.

Hi Ace! You are always the go to guy for COD Multiplayer. I just did Prestige 1 today as well as started season 1. I always play hardcore. In hardcore mode, when I make a kill now, all I get is a red marker. There are no longer scores that normally happen when I make a kill. This works fine in quick play, only in Hardcore. Am I missing a setting?? Thanks as always for your great insights!

Once you unlock a special camo you should be able to use it on any weapon at any point. Locking that ability behind the military camos from weapon to weapon kinda makes the whole universal aspect of special camos feel off to me. Overall though it looks like a cool camo progression system

Everything looks great. My only worry with headshots being the only qualifier is that people will be abusing head glitches and there will be spots on maps that people compete to control so they can cheese headshots. Not a huge deal but could be a little annoying.

I think the universal camo system in the last few games was my favorite, I kinda wish BO6 followed it better. Having 4 unique camos on every gun that unlock for EVERY WEAPON was great. Pulling that back to just 2 and requiring the weapon have all its basic camos unlocked before being able to use them kinda sucks. A lot. We went from 151 camos that could go on any weapon to just 105, with it now being required to unlock 39 of them each and every time across 3 vastly different gamemodes. Don't like one of those modes? Go suck an egg for not liking and downloading warzone, 1/3 of those camos you want are now not even available to you.
