I don't bother with him because he blames me especially when he's at fault. He doesn't like being called out; tough luck for him. I will not put up and shut up!. I don't live with him, he had no business nitpicking at me. He's not perfect. I didn't ask for his caustic comments! He's very controlling.

@@cierrabennett206 oh my, that’s exactly what losing my mother did for me. I have never felt the magnitude of pain that I felt watching my best friend take her last breath. It changed me forever. My sweet mother was married to my narcissistic dad for 27yrs, and when myself and two older brothers moved out, she was out of there with only the clothes on her back. Bless her heart. She thought that she was doing the best thing for us, by staying with him until we were grown and out on our own. She was the most caring and giving human being I have ever known. Her last gift to me was the strength I needed to never go back to my ex narc. He let 2yrs go by and then sent a message to check on me after a hurricane. 🙏Healing and Blessings for anyone going through a difficult situation.

Both ends of the spectrum in my opinion. Much smarter & more wise but the disappointment is incredibly deep. I just wanted to have a healthy, loving, peaceful relationship.
