You can notice the difference in G1 Michigan an Snail in how they run and treat their squads. Snail does who knows what kind of torture to his team if they fail but Michigan is always prioritizing lives of his team by telling them to hold their fingers on eject button when fighting skilled opponents and that they can just practice to get better if they lose

Michigan knows the names of even his MT squads and prioritizes rescuing survivors after he beats you. Meanwhile Snail and Arquebus would gladly leave a named Vesper to die and pit them against suicide missions

It's the laser sword. It's your first melee weapon you can buy from the parts shop.
