Hi, i have the same setup, only I use mach4, in my opinion 44 fin is next to bigger, I with 8,6 use max 41cm fin and this is perfect setup, speed and control is very good and no spin out

Hi, Im a beginner/intermediate windsurfer, and I didn't understand what happened with a fin too big ? I think it might be the case for my fin too last session, but Im not sure.. I'm 83 kg, 6.8 m2 sail, Tabou rocket 125l 69w board in +/- 17 knts of wind, what do you guys think about it ?

Sounds a bit on the large side for the sail and board combo, but all depends on conditions and type of fin too. You could try a slightly smaller fin and see what works best for you!

Fin creates too much lift at higher speeds, which makes the board 'fly' away and thus making the board less controllable

49cm is way too much for the gear set you've described. I would even use 43cm for 8.6. I've got the same board and using 43cm Select S1Evo with 7.8 and 8.6 and it is perfect for both.

Same setup I use a 42 carbon fin. So kinda compares. When powered up, absolute flying!

Τελικά δεν κατάλαβα τις διαστάσεις από τα fins. Παλαιότερα είχαμε για μπούσουλα την σχέση μέγεθος πανιού με fin. Μπορεί η διαφορά ταχύτητας να είναι αποτέλεσμα διαφόρων παραγόντων. Αντί ένα video με τρέξιμο θα προτιμούσα μια προφορική ανάλυση για δυο διαφορετικά fin. 😢😢
