In the days of old the Prophets and Preachers in the bible of old wore distinct clothing, and it was all the same so that they could be identified in that Office? @@mariajohn8494 Don't use part of the scripture, it states that you should follow peace and holiness without which no man shall see the Lord. You need to place the Scriptures into context . As our righteousness is like a "filthy rag" (I don't need to tell you what that is), our holiness is positional and experiential. Christ has made us as holy as we can be (separated) positionally. Now he wants us to experience that holiness as we grow in it as sanctification it progressive. The closer you get to a holy God...the worse or more clearly you see yourself.

Wonderful to hear a preacher call out the worldly churches. YES! I am sick to death of preachers in blue jeans and tshirts. What we wear is not how we go to heaven ( Christ is the only way to salvation) but the preacher should dress in such a way that will support his position of authority. Christians don’t have to dress like a mummy but decent and respectful. Going to church is different from daily life. It is a precious time and our dress and demeanor should respect that.

@@jeanhowell9353 So, you would disagree with the early 1800's Methodist that banned "Sunday Best" clothing? John Wesley wrote against it, early Methodist would not allow people into their assemblies with it on, and the Baptist also spoke out against it, as it allowed for respect of persons. Dressing up for church didn't start until the 1840's when the Congregationalist and the Presbyterians began to dress their best. This has kept many people, unsaved and believers from the church.

@@Prerich45 I think you should wear the best you have. If all you have is a pair of overalls, that is fine. Clean and neatly patched if needed. I simply mean wear the best you have. No one should be shunned for clothing. But church should not look like a nightclub or party by the way people dress. The church today is very weak because someone at some time thought you could win the world by joining the world. Some of the music in some modern day churches sounds like the music of the world. Preachers need to dress in such a way as to indicate that they are in a serious place and speak with authority. Preachers in blue jeans and t-shirts do not look serious. Perhaps you should go back and read how God instructed the Israelites to worship. There was not a “slipshod I just got out of bed look about them. Those laws were not written for us to obey but the example tells us that worship is a time set aside.

1:10 I agree with Bishop Wooden that if there is a problem with the way a wife is dressed, it's a reflection of the husband's leadership. So many of these male KZbinrs want to make videos about what women are wearing in the church but won't address their comments to the husband. A lack of maturity in a wife is a husband's responsibility to help develop into maturity in that area.

Not necessarily. A wife can still be rebellious if she is not submitted fully to God. I addressed a young woman who believes she can wear skimpy bikinis. She didn't care. I challenged her to wear it at church service. She was appalled. I responded to her statement that she didn't care who saw her in that outfit. She never replied. I have been married for 23 years. You can lead a horse to water but you can't force it to drink. Believers will only be as close to God as they want to be.

@@n9wff If a woman is being rebellious towards her husband's authority, then she likely has always been rebellious towards him and either lacked respect and/or trust. Therefore, why would a man choose a woman who is rebellious towards his leadership? It still lies with the man and exposes an inefficiency in him. Even when it comes to men in church leadership, they are expected to rule their households well. Why? because it is a reflection of him. Men need to fully step into their God-given responsibility. If she is being rebellious, pray and fast, seek God but her spiritual maturity (or lack thereof) is a reflection of her husband's leadership.
