People in Moscow were asked about the impact of Russia's "special military operation" on Ukraine -- the Kremlin's wording for the invasion of its western neighbor. When questioned about what was gained or lost, some saw the attack as a "win," while others expressed unhappiness about the results.

"Russia always wins," said the smirking old woman. Odd, since she is plenty old enough to remember Russia's total loss in Afghanistan. Just a couple of years later, largely as a result, her nation completely fell apart, adding to the Afghanistan defeat another loss-that of the Cold War. I wonder if a repeat-a disintegration of Russia following a loss in Ukraine-would wipe that smirk off her face.

I'm reminded of when allied soldiers, after liberating camps in Europe during the second world war, would often take nearby German citizens and show them the aftermath of those places. In some cases they made the citizens help collect bodies. It seemed only then did reality start to sink in for those people who refused to believe or wanted to ignore, for whatever reason, the hell that took place in their own back yards. In cases like this video, I wonder what door would have to open for these people to "come and see".

My grandfather was 17, just a kid. He was sent in to the absolute meat grinder in 1941. He was captured and sent to a concentration camp. He never liked talking about it but from the most horrific memories he would always find something good to say about regular Germans. The camp was near the village and sometimes he was sent to help out villagers, they would feed him, but he never took any food back to the camp because there was obviously not enough to share with the others. Other times he was telling us German villagers would risk their own lives and come close to the fence and throw a piece of bread across, he would pick it up even if it was covered in dirt he’d it swallow right away.

If Russia is preoccupied with dealing with internal affairs, they won't have the capacity nor desire to fight others - and a blackout and humanitarian crisis may at this point be the only thing that can thoroughly shake up Russia from within and lay waste to the current autocracy and rampant corruption of the system they live in. You are totally out of reality, you didn't even watch this video with attention, or maybe you watched only the first 4 interview and then you jumped on conclusion and to comment. There is no difference between younger and older ones. Watch the whole video. Take more time with observation before you jump on drawing far reaching consequences.
