MWM is making the W124 Estate nice and building a legacy...putting it back on the road is a grand plan by MWM..kudos to his enthusiasm and dedication. The AMG big wheel is nice to see but it might pose a danger on wet road, beside higher fuel consumption for consideration🎉😂

I love Harlingen. I went there to visit the CAF Museum back when they were stationed there. I went in February and the weather was great. It was fun seeing all the snowbird transplants from Wisconsin there. That was back when FiFi and many other big birds from the CAF were there before they moved to Midland.

I have a definite soft spot for all the W124 series of cars. I had a 93 with the 2.8 and loved it. Unfortunately it got rear ended - however the car is in a safe place to get repaired some day. Mine also had the funny cup holders on the door - always guessed it was a dealer add-on. It also had chrome trim around the fenders. I was afraid to pull it off just because of what I would find underneath. Luckily it turned out ok and I was able to buff the light scratches off Wonderful videos you have. I enjoy your humor and what you do. Keep it up.

Pilot sports are great and I went back and for on them. Lately, I really like the Conintental ExtremContact DWS 06+. Really nice riding and handling tire. For my area, the all seasons were the way to go.

hey Mike definitely 💯 check the fuse for the power antenna. the old one probably broke and kept running and would kill the battery so they pulled the fuse to it. and a lot of BMW and Mercedes power antennas only work when you're on FM or AM.. will stay down when CD or cassette is on .

You got me! Be careful if you're gonna fit the super wide wheels, they may chafe against the brake lines or stabilizer bar etc on the inside. But I suspect you're gonna fit the shallow AMG's huh? which could turn out ok, but the ride will always be best on the original 15" wheels. She's coming along nicely Mike, can't believe you got all those parts for $100, that's a steal dude. Speakers need attention next? I owned a S124 for years but never knew how the mirror comes apart until today. 👍😎

Oem tire size for the S124 is 195/65r15, this is a 25 inch tall tire. The equivalent in 17 inch is 225/45r17 which would be fine for the front 8 inch rim. For the 9 inch rear you would need 255/40r17 to be 25 inch tall.

Yes your 17x8 are front and your 17x9 are back and the first set of numbers like 225 or 255 are the width so 255 would be wider and the 45 or 50 is hight the higher the number the taller it gets , and of course 17 is the rim diameter. those rims push out more the center is closer in besure to check if when bottoms out your fenders don't rub to end up cutting tire . This person's post was helpful but I think all 4 should have 45 for same hight but it could call for 45 in front and 40 in back .also the lower profile will have a hard ride .and yes your speed would change if all are bigger hight wise or smaller .

2:32 Donk style w124 😂 Those (other) LORINSER 17" wheels would look nice if the car were lowered, but this way it will look like an SUV or some Donk car. 15" wheels are the right size for a w124, the original ones look best on it. When you buy a performance w124 (koenig or so) , then such wheels can also be ok.
