Absolutely loving this series. Still have a 2.8 Z3 roadster and had the 3rd Z3 2.8 to come into the country. Business partner at the time had one of the first Z3M roadsters also in Estoril and they have always been one of my favourite cars ... it is always random with BMW how some parts seem incredibly cheap and other parts are just laughably expensive. It's a lottery when you call up as you never know what price they are going to hit you with but there is usually a big M tax to be fair haha

Thanks mate 🙌🏻 you’re defiantly right there haha it is a lottery when ringing up bmw it’s almost quite exciting with having a bet at how much a part will be haha. It’s a car I think is growing on people now as the shape of them is so unique, we’re defiantly a fan of them and tbh they’re pretty easy to work on which is a result.

@@maddercustom Although I'm no bodywork guy as we have already previously discussed I do think a lot of the 90's BMWs are easier to work on ... mechanically as well. Audi's from the same era have been designed by Satan in my eyes generally. Bolt on bolt off panels makes light work of things and I think there's a bit of logic applied on the whole .. then again I haven't stripped my E38 7 series which might be a different beast complexity wise ... the M stuff is at least designed to be reasonably light as opposed to luxurious.

Why not grind the rust out and powder coat the frame of the sunroof.

It’s to far gone mate, the rust has literally eaten it’s way right through the metal. A lot of messing around to potentially not get it right to replace it anyway. We did really think about this option though 🙌🏻
