Hi Nanalyze, I recently discovered your channel and am amazed it doesn’t have more subscribers compared to the hype-driven stock KZbinrs. I’m from the Netherlands, where we have a well-known company called ASML, which I’m sure you’re familiar with. It’s a trending stock in Europe and recently took a hit after its Q3 results. I’m curious to hear your analysis of this stock!

Good point, but for the long run, even the communication need to be encrypted by quantum. The need is still out there.

Good point, also true random number generators (like proper true) and things like that. Seems like a lot of the concern for encryption comes from QC being able to bypass traditional methods.

yes risky, but also many big hands want a dip to grab shares. Quantum hype cycle is interesting. IonQ CEO kept his word on roadmap recently and next year really usable performance Q computer. So next year will be superb if goes as plan, but there is a big uncertainty, and possible Q hype collapse. We need to study diligently on IonQ. One thing clear is not many people can understand this company status, because quantum physics knowledge is essential. Anyway I like and trust CEO of IonQ who seems sincere.

Many thanks Joe, I greatly appreciate posting a video for quantum computing after my request. I still believe in quantum computing but I also believe in making a profit, so I sold my stocks a few days ago. 😅 Like you mentioned , if ML doesn't outplay quantum computing , I'll keep investing my "no worries to loose money" in IONQ, otherwise I'll look for another potential unicorn. 🤪

Always make people work as hard to take your money as you did to earn it. Don't gamble. Have a methodology. If your methodology says, "I will invest 5% of my AUM in stocks I find compelling over a P/S of 100 that are being heavily hyped," then fine. See how that rule fares over time. Adjust accordingly. ;)

Well, remember that hype can really rocket. Seriously, we've learned that trying to call a top is next to impossible. Most important lesson here. Establish your own set of rules. Start small. Follow them. Refine them. Rinse and repeat ;) And no FOMO and no regrets. :)

Orders and $5 will get you a cup of coffee at Starbucks. Pay attention to revenues. As we've seen twice in the past now, the stock is being pumped heavily (along with ALL qc stocks) and the progress does not justify the valuation. The genius part about this method is that one of two things happen. 1) The fundamentals have an "NVIDIA moment' and growth just goes through the roof. Even then, we'd expect to see NVIDIA-like valuation. Or 2), the valuation reverts to the mean. The most dangerous four words in investing. This time its different.

US defense main purpose is not Q computing, but Q networking. Current IonQ Q computer is too small, but a 32 qubit was installed in Swiss as a hybrid type. We may get some useful application there.

Objectively it's hyped beyond what would be considered acceptable. Of course that's not to say the ape kingdom doesn't pump it even higher. However, fundamentals need to catch up or we will see mean reversion.

@@StephanFlips You're most welcome. As a noob, the best thing you can do is start setting some rules. We talk about diversification and asset class allocation all the time. Accumulating wealth can be very easy, even using something as simple as the Bogle three fund portfolio (kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z328g2aeeZ2JfKM). Become an overnight millionaire in 20 years. ;)

You're very welcome! Would be great if IBM made true on all the R&D dollars they spent on QC. Agree on RKLB. For proper investors we always want the SVR to be as low as possible. That way we're buying quality on the cheap. Joe P.
